Safety instructions

When using this electronic device, basic precautions should always be taken, including the following:

  1. Read all instructions before using the product.
  2. Do not use this product near water (e.g., near a bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, in a wet basement or near a swimming pool, etc).
  3. Use this device when you are sure that the player has a stable base and it is fixed securely.
  4. This product, in combination with an amplifier and loudspeakers, may be capable of producing sound levels that could cause permanent hearing loss. Do not operate for a long period of time at a high volume level or at a level that is comfortable. If you experience any hearing loss or ringing in the ears, you should consult with otorhinolaryngologists.
  5. The product should be located away from heat sources such as radiators, heat vents, or other devices that produce heat.
  6. The product should be connected to a power supply that is described in the operating instructions or is marked on the product.
  7. The power supply should be undamaged and never share an outlet or extension cord with other devices. Never leave the device plugged into the outlet when it is not being used for a long period of time.
  8.  Care should be taken that objects do not fall into liquids and liquids would not be spilled on the device.
  9. The product should be serviced by qualified service personnel if:
    -The power supply or the plug has been damaged.
    -Objects have fallen into or liquid has been spilled on the product.
    -The product has been exposed to rain.
  10. The product has been dropped or the enclosure damaged. There are some areas with a high voltage inside, to reduce the risk of electric shock do not remove the cover of the microphone receiver or power supply. The cover should be removed by the qualified personnel only.

Before you start

MP05 music player/recorder with integrated SD/MMC and USB flash drive readers and CD player. CD, USB flash drive, or SD/MMC card selectable for playback. The recording function is performed on memory cards or USB Flash drives. MP 05 can be controlled by IR remote control, RS232 interface, or by trigger inputs in remote control connector.

Batteries changing

  2. Insert two AAA batteries in accordance with marks in the remote control battery compartment

Front panel operation
ON/OFF SWITCH
Turns on and off the device.
SD MMC CARD’S SLOT
This slot is designed for SD and MMC cards. Please note that the maximum supported capacity of the card is up to 32GB.
TRACK SELECTION BUTTONS
Allows selecting the soundtracks directly.
DISPLAY
Displays the status of the device and main information about the files and folders.
USB FLASH’S SLOT
This slot is designed for USB flash discs and it can support up to 32GB capacity.
FIND
By pressing this key once search mode is changed into FILE search. By pressing
this key twice search mode is changed into FOLDER search.
MUTE
enables or disables audio from CD/USB/SD.

FOLDER UP
In stop mode, this key skips the starting play folder to the next folder and automatically switches to the first folder if the current folder is last. In the program entry mode this key switches to the next folder’s first file, if the folder is last it switches o the first folder. In normal play mode, this key skips the playing file and switches to the next folder’s first file.

FOLDER DOWN
In stop mode, this key skips the starting play folder to the next previous and automatically switches to the last folder if the current folder is first. In the program entry mode this key switches to the previous folder’s first file, if the folder is first it switches to the last folder. In normal play mode, this key skips the playing file and switches to the previous folder’s first file.

REPEAT
Pressing this key allows changing the soundtrack playing mode like in the picture below.

RECORD/DELETE

Recording from AUX input
REC button starts recording audio signal from REC input to USB or SD card, depending with one is inserted. MP05 player will ask you to choose storage if both USB and SD card will be detected on the player. Please use the track selection button to set the storage you wish. AUX input must be selected by using the “FUNC” button before the start of the recording. The REC input level can be adjusted by using the input level potentiometer according to the level indicator located in the front panel. To stop recording, press the REC button again. The successful recording will be indicated by the “REC OK” message on the screen. Records will be named automatically and placed in the TM AUX folder, like in the  picture below:

Recording from CD
If a CD player is selected, and CD with compressed audio files is inserted, after pressing the REC button CD audio signal will be recorded to SD MMC or USB flash. Press the REC button again to stop the recording and the confirmation of a successful ending “REC OK” appears on the screen. All records will be named automatically and placed in the CDROM folder, like in the picture below. Folder Files

If the CD player is selected and the audio CD is inserted, after pressing the REC button CD audio signal will be recorded to SD MMC or USB flash. Press the REC button again to stop the recording and the confirmation of successful ending  REC  K” appears on the screen. All records will be named automatically and placed in the CD-DA folder, like in the picture below.

Copying
If USB or SD/MMC sources are selected you can copy files from one source to another (from USB to SD/MMC and contrary). Press the REC button and by using the REV and CUE keys find the desired folder. After this, you must select the file from this folder by pressing REV or CUE for a long time. Now you can press the REC button one more time and copying will be started. During the copy, the procedure display will show “COPY”. If the copy is successful “COPY OK” appears on the screen.

Delete
If USB or SD/MMC sources are selected you can delete files from the memory card or flash. First of all, you must press the DEL button to turn on the delete function. By pressing REV or CUE keys to find the folder. After this, you must select the file from this folder by pressing REV or CUE for a long time. After file selection presses the DEL button one more time to delete the file.

FUNC
This key allows change music scourge and selects AUX input. When this key is pressed device mode is changed cyclically as in the picture below.

INPUT LEVEL INDICATOR
These LEDs indicate the level of the recording signal from the REC input.

INPUT LEVEL POTENTIOMETER
This potentiometer is for adjusting the recording audio level from the REC input.

EJECT
By pushing this key CD is ejected.

PLAY/PAUSE
By pressing this key when the device is stopped, play starts after the track search. When this key is pressed during playing the mode of the device is changed in to pause. When this key is pressed during the pause, it switches back to play mode.

DOWN/REV
In stop mode, this key changes starting track (file) in descending order, and automatically goes to the last track if it is in the first track. Single pressed in play mode or program mode changes to the previous track (file). By pressing longer than 0,7-sec switches to fast reverse mode.

STOP
When the device is playing or is in pause mode, by pressing this you will stop it.
UP/CUE
In stop mode, this key changes starting track (file) in ascending order, and automatically goes to first track if it is in the last track. Single pressed in play mode or program mode changes to next track, in random mode skips to random track. By pressing longer than 0,7 sec. switches to fast forward mode.

PROG
This key is used for programming. All programs are cleared when the STOP key is pushed into the programming mode.
IR DETECTOR
Receive control commands from the remote control.
CD SLOT
This slot is designed for CD and it can support compressed audio files.
REMAIN ( function available only for CD)
allows changing time counter mode. Three options are available, the remaining time until the end of the audio track, the remaining time until the end of CD tracks, and time from the beginning f track.
ID3
Allow showing different audio track ID3 information on display.

Rear panel operation

SERIAL INTERFACE RS 232
D-Sub 9-pin connection for serial interface (RS232). This connector is designed to control device functions by using an external control unit, like Creston or PC, etc.

REMOTE CONTROL TRIGGER
Because of this input, the device can be controlled by using external push buttons or relays. The maximum distance between the device and push buttons should be up to 10m. if shielded cables are used.

STEREO OUTPUT
This is line-level output with balanced stereo XLR and stereo RCA connectors.

STEREO INPUT FOR RECORDING
This is line-level input with balanced stereo XLR and stereo RCA connectors for the audio recording. The recording audio level can be adjusted by using a potentiometer located in the front panel. To prevent signal clipping please give attention to the signal level indicator located in the front panel too.
