Product Information: Hi Key Illuminated Background

The Hi Key illuminated background by Angler is a flexible and easy-to-install background that is perfect for shooting high-key lighting images such as portraits, fashion, and products. The background features a flexible frame that springs open and four zippered openings for inserting your lights to provide maximum coverage on either side. The frame supports hold the background upright and free-standing, and the background can be used like a
large soft box with evenly spread light across the surface. The product comes with a carry bag for easy transportation.

Product Usage Instructions: HiKey Illuminated Background

Lay the background flat on the ground and attach a frame support to each of the four corners by pulling back the clip and hooking it under the frame.
Position the background in landscape or portrait orientation and move the bottom two frame supports to contact the ground for extra stability.
Position lights inside both sides of the Hi Key. Make sure to use reflectors with your lights to avoid damaging the fabric.
To fold the background, remove all four frame supports and grip the frame on either side of one corner. Point the corner down into the opposite corner on the ground, twist your hand outward while the corner folds inwards towards your feet. Lean forward and drop both sides onto the section that’s on the floor. Reshape to fit in the carry bag.
You can add colored backgrounds for different lighting hues and effects by attaching them to the touch fastener strips located around the frame.

The product comes with a one-year limited warranty that covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal consumer use. The warranty does not cover damage or defect caused by misuse, neglect, accident, alteration, abuse, improper installation, or maintenance.

Assembling the HiKey

Lay the background flat on the ground. Pull back the frame support’s clip and hook it under the frame, and repeat for the other side. Attach a frame support to each of the four corners.
Position the background in landscape or portrait orientation.
For extra stability, move the bottom two frame supports so they come in contact with the ground.
Position lights inside both sides of the HiKey.

Warning
Make sure to use reflectors with your lights to avoid damaging the fabric.

Folding the Background

Remove all four frame supports.
Grip the frame on either side of one corner, and point the corner down into the opposite corner on the ground.
Twist your hand outward while the corner folds inwards towards your feet. Lean forward and drop both sides onto the section that’s on the floor.
Reshape to fit in the carry bag.

Adding Color Backgrounds
You can add colored backgrounds for different lighting hues and effects by attaching them to the touch fastener strips located around the frame.

One-Year Limited Warranty

This Angler product is warranted to the original purchaser to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal consumer use for a period of one (1) year from the original purchase date or thirty (30) days after replacement, whichever occurs later. The warranty provider’s responsibility with respect to this limited warranty shall be limited solely to repair or replacement, at the provider’s discretion, of any product that fails during normal use of this product in its intended manner and in its intended environment. Inoperability of the product or part(s) shall be determined by the warranty provider. If the product has been discontinued, the warranty provider reserves the right to replace it with a model of equivalent quality and function.
This warranty does not cover damage or defect caused by misuse, neglect, accident, alteration, abuse, improper installation or maintenance. To obtain warranty coverage, contact the Angler Customer Service Department to obtain a return merchandise authorization (“RMA”) number, and return the defective product to Angler along with the RMA number and proof of purchase.
