Introduction
Thank you for choosing a Tecatlantis product. To optimize the using and to understand this product, before use it, READ and FOLLOW the safety instructions. Failure to do so may result in damage to the unit. For more information, visit our website www.aquatlantis.com
CLEANSYS are internal filters with an optimized performance which include
a set of replaceable filter recharges:
Foam – mechanical filtration that eliminates larger particles in
suspension.
Fiber – mechanical filtration that eliminates fine particles.
Activated Carbon or Cleanwater – chemical filtration that keeps water
crystalline.
Aquaclay – biological filtration which promotes the formation of colonies
of bacteria that maintain the ideal level of nitrates.
The set of included recharges varies according with the model of the filter.
The CleanSys filters also include an ergonomic water flow regulator easy to
adjust so you can easily control the water outflow.
ATTENTION: Remove the clear plastic film from the Activated Carbon and
Aquaclay. Before using the Clean Box cartridges, rinse them well in clean
running water.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Do not operate with the appliance if it has a damage cord or plug, or if malfunctioning or if it is dropped or damage in any manner.

The power cord cannot be replaced. If the power ord is damaged the appliance should be scrapped.

To avoid the possibility of the appliance plug or receptacle getting wet, position the unit to one side of a wall mounted receptacle to prevent water from dripping unto the receptacle or plug. A « drip loop » (fig.1) should be arranged to the receptacle. The “drip loop” is that part of the cord below the level of the receptacle or the connector if an extension cord is used, to prevent water traveling along the cord and coming into contact with the receptacle. If the plug or receptacle does get wet, don’t unplug the cord. Disconnect the fuse or circuit breaker that supplies power appliance. Then unplug and examine for presence of water in the receptacle.

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

To avoid injury, do not contact moving parts or hot parts such as heaters, reflectors, lamp bulbs, etc..

Do not use an appliance for other than intended use (i.e. don’t use on swimming pools, garden ponds, bathrooms, etc.). The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the appliance manufacturer may cause an unsafe condition.

Do not install or store the appliance where it will be exposed to the water or to temperatures below freezing.

Make sure an appliance is securely installed before operating it.

If an extension cord is necessary, a cord with a proper rating should be used. A cord rated for less amperes or watts than the appliance rating may overheat.

Aquarium use only.
FILTER INSTALLATION
- Always disconnect electrical supply of all electrical items placed into the aquarium before any kind of intervention.
- Verify that all components of the filter are undamaged before putting it into function.
- Place the filter properly into the aquarium. We suggest avoiding lateral contact to the glass walls to avoid resonance caused by vibrations.
MAINTENANCE
- Turn off the filter from the socket before any intervention.
- Remove the upper cover from the filter body, the pump and the filter recharges (see image 2).
- Clean with a soft brush the limestone deposited on the pump turbine and the water outlet regulator.
- Clean the turbine, the filter and the filter recharges with running water (or replace the recharges, if necessary).
- Remove the cover from the base of the filter toremove the filtrating foam. Pass it by water or replace it if necessary.
- Reassemble the filter by repeating the previous steps, taking care to check that the turbine rotates freely.
- Do not use any sort of solvents or detergents. Regular cleaning and maintenance of the filter will guarantee better performance and longer life

REGULATION
The filter has an integrated ergonomic water flow regulator. For adjusting the water flow, rotate the regulator on the water outlet until the desired position. Before setting the filter on, be sure to check that the regulated flow is the one you want.
WARRANTY
The device is guaranteed for a period of 24 month from the date of purchase, against defects in material and/or workmanship. Our warranty does not apply to claims the cause of which is due to installation and operation faults, lack of maintenance and misuse of the device, and amateur repair attempts. In case of claiming your rights under the warranty, take the faulty product to the shop along with this certificate duly completed and the purchase receipt.
DISPOSAL: Don’t throw away the filter in the domestic garbage. It should be delivered in an adequate recycling center.
