LEXIBOOK BT018series Mini Bluetooth Speaker

Product Information

The product is a speaker with the model name BT018series. It comes with a lithium battery of 3.7V, 1200mAh. The speaker has a transmission power of 3.39 dBm (EIRP) and operates at a Bluetooth frequency range of 2402-2480 MHz. The package includes a micro USB charging cable for power supply. The speaker has various control buttons, including Mode, Backward, Forward, Play-pause, USB port, Micro SD/TF card port, Micro USB charging port, and Aux-in port.

Product Usage Instructions

Unpacking the Device

Discard all packaging materials like tape, plastic sheets, wire ties, and tags before using the product. When unpacking, ensure that the following elements are included:

  • 1 x Mini Bluetooth® Speaker
  • 1 x Hybrid USB / Aux-in cable
  • 1 x Instruction manual

Location of Controls

The control buttons of the device are Mode, Backward, Forward, Play-pause, USB port, Micro SD/TF card port, Micro USB charging port, and Aux-in port.

  1. Mode button: USB, SD/TF and Bluetooth
  2. Backward button / decrease the volume
  3. Forward button / increase the volume
  4. Play-pause button / answer-end incoming calling
  5. USB port
  6. Micro SD/TF card port
  7. Micro USB charging port and Aux-in port
  8. On/Off switch

Power Supply

The speaker can be powered using the micro USB charging cable or a USB type adaptor with an input of 5.0V and 1.0A.

Follow the below steps for power supply:

  1. Ensure that the unit is switched off.
  2. Insert the small end of the micro USB cable (included) into the micro USB charging port (7) on the back of the unit.
  3. Connect the other end of the micro USB cable into the USB port of your powered computer or USB type power adaptor and connect it to a wall socket.
  4. The LED on the front of the device lights up in red when the device is charging.
  5. Once charging is completed, the LED light will turn off.
  6. Note: The micro USB cable can be used for battery charging only and not for data transfer.

Power supply

  1. Check that the unit is switched off.
  2. Insert the small end of the micro USB cable (included) into the micro USB charging port (7) on the back of the unit.

Note : Please note that the micro USB cable can be used for battery charging only and not for data transfer.

WARNING:

  • Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Please only replace it with the same or equivalent battery.
  • The battery should not be exposed to high temperatures, such as sunlight, fire or anything similar.
  • Mal-function or loss of memory may be caused by strong frequency interference or electrostatic discharge. Should any abnormal function occur, switch it off and then on again, or unplug the USB cable.

Functions & Modes

To turn the speaker on/off, slide the on/off button (8) at the back of the product. A signal will sound to notify the device is ready. The device can be operated in USB, SD/TF, and Bluetooth modes using the Mode button. The Backward button is used to decrease the volume, and the Forward button is used to increase the volume. The Play-pause button is used to answer-end incoming calling.

MODES
The speaker includes different modes: Bluetooth®, USB, TF card (up to 64GB). To change mode, long press the button 1. In Bluetooth® delete, USB and TF modes, press Previous, Next and Play/Pause (2, 3, 4) to control your audio files.

BLUETOOTH® PAIRING

  1. Activate the Bluetooth function on your personal device and make sure it is in discoverable mode.
  2. Confirm pairing or select the Bluetooth name “BT018” to connect your player to the speaker.
  3. You can play an audio or a video file. The speaker will issue a sound after it has connected successfully.
  4. To stop the connection with the speaker, press the button 1 on the top or a button on your audio player.

Note : Some music players do not fully support Bluetooth® audio controls. Play/pause, previous and next buttons on the Bluetooth® speaker may not respond. The music player may also turn off. To get the best control experience in the said player, use the on-screen track controls of your music player rather than those on the speaker.

CONNECT 2 SPEAKERS IN STEREO:
You can connect two BT018 speakers together to enjoy stereo sound (available only in Bluetooth mode):

  1. Turn on two BT018
  2. Press the M button (1) on either speaker for a few seconds.A sound indicator will be played once they are successfully connected together.
  3. Activate the Bluetooth® function of your audio player and confirm the pairing to the speaker (BT018) as explained in the previous section.

VOLUME
To decrease the volume, press and hold the backward button (2). To increase the volume, press and hold the forward button (3).

CAUTION : Too high volume, especially when using headphones, can damage your hearing. For this reason, please turn the volume down.

SPEAKER PHONE
The speaker is equipped with a microphone that you can use for your calls. Press the call button (4) once to answer calls. To end a call, press the call button (4)

Safety Instructions

The device should be kept in a dry location with good ventilation. The device should not be exposed to naked flame sources like candles. The device should be kept on a flat, hard, and stable surface. Do not let anyone, especially children, push anything into holes, slots, or any other openings in the unit’s casing as this could result in a fatal electric shock. Proper ventilation should be maintained around the apparatus. Do not cover the ventilation openings with any items like newspapers, table-cloths, curtains, etc. The device should be used in moderate climates, and batteries should be disposed of properly.

Before using the unit, be sure to read all operating instructions carefully. Please note that these are general precautions and may not pertain to your unit.

  1. Read this Instruction Manual before you attempt to connect or operate the appliance.
  2. Keep these instructions in good condition. Heed all warnings. Follow all instructions.
  3. The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the product. Dry location use only.
  4. No naked flame source, such as candles, should be placed on the product.
  5. Place the unit where there is good ventilation. Place the system on a flat, hard and stable surface. Do not expose to temperatures above 40°C. Allow at least 10 cm clearance from the rear and the top of the unit and 5 cm from each side.
  6. product has no user-serviceable parts. Do not attempt to repair this product yourself. Only qualified service personnel should perform servicing. Take the product to the electronics repair shop of your choice for inspection and repair.
  7. NEVER let anyone, especially children, push anything into holes, slots or any other openings in the unit’s casing as this could result in a fatal electric shock.
  8. Minimum distances around the apparatus for sufficient ventilation.
  9. The ventilation should not be impeded by covering the ventilation openings with items, such as newspapers, table-cloths, curtains, etc.
  10. The use of apparatus in moderate climates.
  11. Batteries should be disposed properly. Take them to the collection container in order to protect the environment.

MAINTENANCE AND WARRANTY

Ensure that you switch off the device and unplug the power cable before cleaning. Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. If the surfaces are particularly dirty, clean them with a cloth that has been soaked in soapy water and then wrung out thoroughly. Wipe again with a dry cloth. Never use alcohol, petrol, solvents, cleaning products or other chemical products. And do not use compressed air to remove dust. At least charge the Bluetooth® speaker once every 3 months in order to maintain the battery life. This product is covered by our 2-year warranty. For any claim under the warranty or after sale service, please contact your distributor and present a valid proof of purchase. Our warranty covers any manufacturing material and workmanship defect, with the exception of any deterioration arising from the non- observance of the instruction manual or from any careless action implemented on this item (such as dismantling, exposition to heat and humidity, etc.). It is recommended to keep the packaging for any further reference. In a bid to keep improving our services, we could implement modification on the colours and the details of the product shown on the packaging.
