SET UP

WARNING: All packaging materials, such as tape, plastic sheets, wire ties and tags are not part of this toy and should be discarded for your child’s safety.

Battery installation

  1. Open the cover with a screwdriver.
  2. Install 3 x AA / LR6 1.5V batteries (not included) observing the polarity indicated.
  3. Replace the cover and tighten the screw.

Projection of constellations

  1. Insert a black dome at the location above the bulb and turn it counter-clockwise to lock it (diagrams B & C).
  2. Place the dome above if you want a softer projection (diagram C).
  3. Turn the switch to the “DOME PROJECTOR” position (diagram F).

Projection of images

  1. Insert one of the 3 discs into the discs slot (diagram D).
  2. Turn the switch to “DISC PROJECTOR” (diagram F).
  3. Adjust the sharpness by rotating the lens and turn the disc to change the projected image (diagram E).

Audio

  1. Press the EN button to learn more about planets, the universe and astronomy in English. Press the button again to go to the next step.
  2. Press the DE button to learn more about planets, the universe and astronomy in German. Press the button again to go to the next step.

Timer

  1. Slide the ‘TIMER’ button to 30 to activate the 30-minute timer (diagram G).
  2. Slide the ‘TIMER’ button to 15 to activate the 15-minute timer.
  3. Slide the ‘TIMER’ switch to OFF to turn off the timer.

Slide the switch to “OFF” position to turn off the projector. Non- rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged. Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the product before being charged. Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision. Different types of batteries or new and used batteries are not to be mixed. Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used. Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity. Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the product. The supply terminals are not to be short circuited. Do not throw batteries into a fire. Remove the batteries if you are not going to use the product for a long period of time. Battery shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.

WARNING: Malfunction or loss of memory may be caused by strong frequency interference or electrostatic discharge. Should any abnormal function occur, remove the batteries and insert them again.

Precautions of use

  • Keep a minimum distance around the device for sufficient ventilation;
  • The ventilation should not be impeded by covering the ventilation openings with items, such as newspapers, table-cloths, curtains, etc.;
  • No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the apparatus;
  • The use of apparatus in moderate climates;
  • Batteries should be disposed properly. Take them to the collection container in order to protect the environment;
  • The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the product. Dry location use only.

MAINTENANCE AND WARRANTY

Only use a soft, slightly damp cloth to clean the unit. Do not use detergent. Do not to expose the unit to direct sunlight or any other heat source. Do not immerse the unit in water. Do not dismantle or drop the unit. Do not try to twist or bend the unit. This product is covered by our 2-year warranty. NOTE: Please keep this instruction manual, it contains important information.
