Product Description

What distinguishes our Sycamore 2.1 system from the other outdoor speakers that are available? Simply put, it’s their superior audio quality and simple installation. A pair of 2.5″ satellite speakers and an 8″ passive subwoofer are included in the Weather Sycamore 2.1 system. Installation is made simpler by running just one speaker wire to the subwoofer and then shorter wires from the subwoofer to the individual satellite speakers, as opposed to conventional passive systems where wires must be connected from the amplifier to each individual speaker. Through the use of a 12dB crossover, the subwoofer divides the audio signal into two bands: one for frequencies below 200Hz and one for frequencies above 200Hz, which it delivers to the satellites. The system is suitable for the majority of home theatre audio systems because it is made to be driven by amplifiers with 50–200 watts of power. More bass, please? Include one more subwoofer. For a big room, do you need more protection? Include a second set of satellite speakers. There is no simpler solution than that.

Regarding this item

True 2.1 System
All frequencies below 200Hz are used by the subwoofer, which uses a 2-way, 12-dB crossover at that frequency, while all frequencies above 200Hz are sent to the satellite speakers.

Unseen But Heard
The system fills your patio or yard with superb sound while retaining a low profile that blends in with your yard thanks to the speaker wires and subwoofer body being hidden in the ground.

Simple Installation
Only a single, 4-conductor wire is required to be run from the amplifier to the subwoofer, followed by a shorter pair of 2-conductor wires to be extended from the sub to the satellites. This eliminates the need to run separate wires from the amplifier to each speaker.

Modular
The system is made to be expanded by adding more satellite speakers and/or subwoofers. More bass, please? Include one more subwoofer. For a big room, do you need more protection? Include a second set of satellite speakers. There is no simpler solution than that. Enjoy rich, complete sound in your patio or yard with this great sound in the ground. The low-profile satellites and subterranean subwoofer keep the emphasis on the sound rather than the sights.

FAQ’s

Will a subwoofer work outside?

The majority of subwoofers for indoor use can simply be tucked away in a corner, however outdoors, that same relative area may not be suitable for wiring or installation. It also won’t work to place a subwoofer in the middle of a pair of speakers on your deck or lawn because it will be placed near where people will be walking.

Do you need a subwoofer for outdoor speakers?

Bass notes are difficult to reproduce outside without walls for the low sound frequencies to reflect off of. If you’ll be bothered by the absence of bass notes, we suggest adding an outside subwoofer to your system.

What is an inground subwoofer?

This subwoofer offers high-end audio with a stylish, inconspicuous design and is built to last with weather-resistant components because it is buried beneath.

Where should I put my outdoor subwoofer?

Typically, the walls and ceilings that reinforce bass in indoor spaces won’t surround your outside speakers. Therefore, to improve the bass output and add some helpful bass reinforcement, think about positioning an outdoor subwoofer closer to the wall (or in a corner) of your patio.

How loud should a subwoofer be?

Simply adjust the subwoofer level so that it sounds best from the chair you often use to listen if you’re utilizing a subwoofer in a stereo or computer system. Neither a boomy nor a thin sound should be present. Additionally, you may instantly adjust the subwoofer volume to match the music or movies you’re watching.

How many watts is good for outdoor speakers?

For spaces smaller than 300 square feet, use 60 watts. For areas between 300 and 500 square feet, use 80 to 100 watts. For areas between 600 and 800 square feet, use 100 to 175 watts. For spaces larger than 1,000 square feet, 250+ watts.

How long do outdoor speakers last?

If they are properly cared for and maintained, outdoor speakers may often last up to ten years. The temperature and humidity of the environment, sunlight exposure, closeness to water (including swimming pools), owner maintenance, and the caliber of the wiring, mounting hardware, and weatherproof sealing all have an impact on how long outdoor speakers last.

How do you bury a Sonance subwoofer?

NOTE: FOR DISTANCES UP TO 200 FEET, SONANCE STRONGLY RECOMMENDS USING 14/4 DIRECT BURIAL WIRE, AND FOR LONGER RUNS, 12/4 DIRECT BURIAL WIRE. AVOID RESISTIVE WIRE LOSSES BY MAINTAINING WIRES AS SHORT AS POSSIBLE. CAUTION: UNTIL ALL SPEAKER WIRE CONNECTIONS ARE COMPLETE, THE AMPLIFIER SHOULD NOT BE CONNECTED TO AC POWER.

How long does a subwoofer take to break in?

Some speaker manufacturers will advise a 10-hour break-in period. If you choose to do this at all, it should give your subwoofer plenty of time to settle in.

How do I adjust my subwoofer levels?

Power up the subwoofer and adjust the volume to your preferred level. If a phase control is available, adjust it. The delay between the subwoofer and the main speakers is made up for by the phase control. Phase control should be set to 0 or normal, to begin with.

Do subwoofers need burn-in?

Whether speakers or subwoofers need a break-in period is a frequently asked subject. No, is the response. There is no need to play a speaker at half power or low volumes for a lengthy period of time in order to facilitate or ease into this, even if it is true that the suspension of a speaker will loosen up with time.

What Hz is best for bass?

Professionals advise that between 60 and 250 Hz is the optimal Hz for bass. These ranges provide the utmost in listening comfort and safety while safeguarding speakers from harm. Hearing loss can result from bass exposure outside of this frequency range.

What is a good sensitivity for a subwoofer?

A very good sensitivity rating of 92 dB or greater should be sought after.

How do you know if a subwoofer is too loud?

You can adjust the bass output to your preference, but if the subwoofer can really be located, it is producing too high of a frequency range. Only frequencies that are too low to be directed should be produced by a subwoofer. The issue is that all sound is somewhat directional.

What happens when you overpower a sub?

Overpowering your subwoofer – Slam, and Bang
Turning it up is nice, but doing so causes the sound to get distorted. In addition to sounding horrible, doing this repeatedly can harm your speakers and subwoofers.

How do you enjoy the great outdoor sound without disturbing your neighbors?

Fortunately, the fix is straightforward: just add extra speakers. Although it may seem paradoxical, theme parks have long used this technique to allow visitors to hear the music clearly during parades without having to turn the volume up all the way.
