INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Remove all the packing material and take out the electric kettle with the
stand. Remove all possible adhesion foils, stick-on labels or paper from the
appliance. Before the first use, fill the electric kettle with clean water to
the maximum level, turn it on and let the water boil. Then pour out the water
and repeat the procedure several times (at least five times).
APPLICATIONS
Unwind the necessary length of the power cord C2 from the storage space of the
stand C. Place the stand on a suitable surface, in the height of about 85 cm,
out of reach of children and incapacitated persons and plug the fork of the
power cord to the electric socket. Hold the kettle A on the handle A2. Open
the lid A3. Fill the kettle with drinking water. Minimum and maximum water
level is indicated by the watermark A1. Close the lid and position the kettle
filled with water onto the removable base C (sound signal will be heard,
display B2 will light up for a while, and then the current temperature of
water in the kettle will be displayed).
ATTENTION
- During boiling water in the electric kettle, the lid must be correctly placed on the appliance (closed) , otherwise, the appliance will not be switched off!
- In the case of tilting the electric kettle with hot water there is a risk of scalding. Therefore do not tilt the electric kettle.
- Recommendation: When the kettle is not used, do not place it on the stand connected to the mains.
A) Water heating to 100°C
Press button B1 (sound signal will be heard), then icon 100 will light up
on display B2. At the same time, value “100 °C” will flash several times at
the top of the display. Then the current temperature of water in the kettle
will be displayed and heating to 100 °C will begin. As soon as the temperature
100 °C has been reached, the boiling function will be stopped. In the top of
the display, „100 °C“ will be shown for approx. 10 seconds, then current water
temperature in the kettle will be displayed. After further approx. 5 minutes
of inactivity, the kettle will be switched off automatically (display B2 turns
off).
B) Water heating to a temperature of 40-100°C
By repeated quick pressing button B1, you can set the required temperature
100-40-60-80-90 °C. Setting of temperature will be visualised by lighting up
icon 100 ; 40 ; 60 ; 80 or 90 on display B2. As soon as
the required temperature has been set, corresponding values „100 °C”; “40 °C”;
“60 °C”; “80 °C” or “90 °C” will flash several times in the top of the
display. Then the current water temperature in the kettle will be displayed
and heating to the required temperature will start. As soon as the required
water temperature has been achieved, the heating will be stopped. Set
temperature will be shown in the top of the display for approx. 10 seconds,
then current water temperature in the kettle will be displayed. After further
approx. 5 minutes of inactivity, the kettle will be switched off automatically
(display B2 turns off).
C) KEEP WARM (heating up)
Press and hold (for approx. 3 seconds) button B1, until symbol “ ” is shown on
display B2 (sound signal will be heard). Then set the required temperature
using the same procedure as described in section “B) Heating water to 40-100
°C”. After achieving the required temperature, the boiler will maintain it for
approx. 2 hours. After expiration of this period, symbol “ ” will go out (KEEP
WARM function deactivated). Then the current temperature of water in the
kettle will be shown in the top of the display. After further approx. 5
minutes of inactivity, the kettle will be switched off automatically (display
B2 turns off).
Note
- Water heating, including the KEEP WARM function, can be cancelled at any time using the button B1.
- Heating function (except of KEEP WARM) can also be cancelled by removing the kettle from the base.
- KEEP WARM function also activates the memory. If you remove the kettle from the base while the KEEP WARM function is on, the corresponding time will be stored for approx. 2 hours. If the kettle will be put on the base again during this period of approx. 2 hours, KEEP WARM function will continue.
- If the kettle has been switched off (the kettle placed on the base, the display is off), it can be switched on by short pressing button B1. Than the kettle can be operated in standard mode.
Please consider the following tips as examples and inspiration not intended to provide complete instructions, but just to show the possibilities of heating of various liquids. Water temperatures are only approximate and may vary according to personal taste, quantity, type, quality and age of the used tea, coffee, etc.
- 40 °C = baby food,
- 60 °C = green tea,
- 80 °C = white tea,
- 90 °C = oolong teas, coffee, instant drinks, soup,
- 100 °C = black, herbal tea.
Note
To ensure maximum accuracy of the temperature set, which is lower than 100°C,
we recommend heating no less than 0.7 litres of water (preferably more than 1
litre).
Always use fresh drinking water for boiling. The temperature and time heating
depends on the amount of water and the initial temperature of water. For the
correct temperature setting, follow the manufacturers‘ instructions that are
described on food packages (e.g. tea, coffee, instant drinks, soap, etc.).
Note
-
If you set a heating temperature which is lower than the current water temperature, you will hear two signal sounds and the kettle will switch off. However, if you activate
the KEEP WARM function when setting a temperature which is lower than the current temperature, the kettle will maintain the temperature at the value you have set (i.e. it will wait till the water temperature drops to this value and maintain it). -
If you are preparing food for very young children (e.g. to 40 °C), the water must be heated to a boil (100 °C) first. Wait until the water cools down and check its temperature before serving. The recommended safe temperature food for children is max. 40 °C.
MAINTENANCE
Unplug the appliance from power supply by taking the fork of the power cord
out of the socket! Clean the kettle only when it is cooled down! Do not use
rough and aggressive detergents (e.g. sharp objects, scrapers, diluting agents
or other solvents)! The housing of the kettle is made of high-quality plastic,
the heating bottom and inner surface of the kettle are made of high-quality
stainless steel, however, a slight sediment (scale) during standard use
/particularly, above the heating element/ cannot be avoided. It is not rust or
another material defect of the kettle container and the appliance is not
subject to a complaint for this reason.
Cleaning the kettle
In the hard water area, it is important to do the decalcification regularly to
keep the kettle in good working condition, because too much scale inside may
cause the kettle fail to work. For the best performance of your kettle,
decalcify the unit from time to time. The frequency depends on the hardness of
your tap water and how many times you have used the kettle. Decalcification
will clean the interior of the unit.
This may be done in the following manner:
Put about 50 g of citric acid into the kettle with limescale sediment. Fill
the kettle half with water and stir. After dissolving, fill it up to ¾ of
maximum amount of water. Place the kettle on the stand and turn on. Turn off
the kettle before reaching boiling point, let the solution work for 10 minutes
and then pour it out. Rinse the kettle thoroughly with clean water. In case of
very thick sediments, you can repeat the process. Clean the kettle regularly!
Expert service must do the large maintenance or to intervene into inside parts
of the appliance! Non-observance of the instructions of the manufacturer
cancels the right for
guarantee repair!
