FLARE FIREPLACES 50 Front Facing Framing Guidevent Free Wood Framing
Product Information
The Front Facing Framing GuideVent Free- Wood Framing is an outdoor-rated fireplace from the Flare Fireplaces Vent Free line that uses stainless steel, corrosion-resistant materials. It requires a 110V AC (15 AMP dedicated recommended but not required) power source and gas supplied from the right side of the unit. The appliance must be installed on a non-combustible material floor and requires clearances to combustible finishing materials such as ground or another combustible surface, side walls, ceiling, alcove width, and non-combustible board above the opening. The manual gas shut-off is required on all outdoor unit installations.
Product Usage Instructions
- Ensure that the fireplace is installed on a non-combustible material floor with at least an 11-inch clearance from any combustible flooring.
- Provide a 110V AC (15 AMP dedicated recommended but not required) power source to run the fireplace. The electrical connection needs to be provided to the right of the unit and utilize a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI/GFI) outlet required. Ensure a switch is installed to control power to an outlet for control over the fireplace.
- Gas should be run into the right side of the unit. Flex pipe will be provided within the unit, but hard piping should be done into the fireplace box.
- Install a manual gas shut-off that must be visible (after finishing) and remain accessible in the event of an emergency. Consult city, state, and other local codes to confirm additional requirements as needed.
- Maintain Framing clearances to combustible framing from firebox: 2 Sides, 2 Back, 4 Top, and 0 below (Re-enforced Base).
- Ensure that the fireplace has the required clearances from combustible finishing materials such as ground or another combustible surface, side walls, ceiling, alcove width, and the non-combustible board above the opening.

- Electrical Connection – 110V AC (15 AMP dedicated recommended but not required) power source must be provided to run the fireplace. An electrical connection needs to be provided to the right of the unit and utilize a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI/GFI) outlet is required. Ensure a switch is installed to control power to an outlet for control over the fireplace.
- Gas Supply – Gas should run into the right side of the unit. Flex pipe will be provided within the unit, but hard piping should be done into the fireplace box.
- Manual Gas Shut Off – Required on all outdoor unit installations. The manual Gas Shut off must be visible (after finishing) and remain accessible in the event of an emergency. Consult city, state, and other local codes to confirm additional requirements as needed.
