The Left Corner Framing GuideVent Free- Wood Framing is an outdoor-rated fireplace that uses stainless steel, corrosion-resistant materials. It comes in five different models with varying dimensions:

  • Model A: 50 inches (inch) (1270 millimeters (mm)) (Width) x 55 inches (1397 mm) (Height) x 8/16 inches (12.7 mm) (Depth) x 52 14/16 inches (1340.9 mm) (Cavity width) x 27 6/16 inches (693.7 mm) (Cavity height) x 16 inches (406.4 mm) (Cavity depth)
  • Model B: 60 inches (1524 mm) x 64 2/16 inches (1630.6 mm) x 61 9/16 inches (1562.9 mm) x 27 6/16 inches (693.7 mm) x 31 6/16 inches (797.5 mm) x 16 inches (406.4 mm)
  • Model C: 70 inches (1778 mm) x 72 inches (1828.8 mm) x 69 7/16 inches (1763.6 mm) x 27 6/16 inches (693.7 mm) x 31 6/16 inches (797.5 mm) x 16 inches (406.4 mm)

The fireplace must be installed with a manual gas shut-off valve, which must be visible and accessible in case of an emergency. It must also be installed at least 11 inches above any combustible flooring. If the fireplace is mounted lower, non-combustible flooring materials such as stone, tile, or cement must be used. The fireplace requires a 110V AC (15 AMP dedicated recommended but not required) power source and must be connected to a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI/GFI) outlet. Gas should be run into the right side of the unit, and hard piping should be done into the fireplace box. Care should be taken to ensure that rain and other moisture cannot collect between the unit and the mounting platform. Plan for drainage to run outside of the cavity away from other fixed buildings and objects.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Install the fireplace in accordance with local codes and the manufacturer’s instructions.

  2. Ensure that a manual gas shut-off valve is installed and visible after finishing.

  3. Install the fireplace at least 11 inches above any combustible flooring. If the fireplace is mounted lower, non-combustible flooring materials such as stone, tile, or cement must be used.

  4. Connect the fireplace to a 110V AC (15 AMP dedicated recommended but not required) power source via a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI/GFI) outlet.

  5. Run gas into the right side of the unit, and hard pipe it into
    the fireplace box. Flex pipe will be provided within the unit.

  6. Ensure that rain and other moisture cannot collect between the unit and the mounting platform. Plan for drainage to run outside of the cavity away from other fixed buildings and objects.

Drainage
Flare Fireplaces Vent Free line are outdoor rated using Stainless Steel, corrosion resistant materials. However, care should be taken to ensure rain and other moisture cannotcollect between unit and mounting platform. Plan for drainage to run outside of cavity away from other fixed buildings and objects.

Electrical Connection
110V AC (15 AMP dedicated recommended but not required) power source must be provided to run fireplace. Electrical connection needs to be provided to the right of the unit and utilize a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI/GFI) outlet required. Ensure switch is installed to control power to outlet for control over fireplace.

Gas Supply
Gas should be run into the right side of the unit. Flex pipe will be provided within unit, but hard piping should be done into fireplace box.

Manual Gas Shut Off
Required on all outdoor unit installations. Manual Gas Shut off must be visible (after finishing) and remain accessible in the event of an emergency. Consult city, state and other local codes to confirm additional requirements as needed.

Clearance to Floor
Flare Ventless line must maintain box opening at least 11” above any combustible flooring. For fireplaces which are considering being mounted lower, flooring must be non combustible material (i.e. stone, tile, cement, etc.)
