SJE RHOMBUS 1069102 Xpert Alert RF Alarm
Product Information
The product consists of an alarm module with Alarm LED, Pairing Button, and
Signal Strength indicator LEDs. The product is designed to be mounted and
wired according to the installation instructions.
The maximum distance between modules should be 200ft. The product has a signal
strength check feature that allows the user to check the signal strength of
the indoor module. The product also has a monthly testing feature to verify
signal strength and alarm functionality.
Product Usage Instructions
Step 1: Installation
Mount and wire the alarm according to the installation instructions. Ensure
that the maximum distance between modules should be 200ft.
Step 2: Signal Strength Check
Press the pairing button for 1 second on the panel module to enter setup
mode for fast signal strength updates. Reposition the indoor module until 1 or
more signal LEDs are illuminated green.
Step 3: Test Alarm
Verify the alarm is functioning by triggering an alarm condition on the
outdoor panel and verify the alarm units. Verify a text or email notification
of alarm was received.
Alarm LED on Xpert Alert® RF and Xpert Alert® alarms will illuminate amber in
color when alarming and the audible alarm will sound. For Xpert Alert® WiFi
alarm units, verify a text or email notification of alarm was received.
Monthly Testing
Verify at least 1 or more signal LEDs are illuminated green monthly are
able. Repeat step 3 as you verify alarm functionality.
Troubleshooting Guide
If you encounter any issues, refer to the troubleshooting guide provided in the manual. The guide includes steps to follow if the modules are not communicating with each other, if there are 3 red blinking LEDs, or if the modules need to be paired. Contact technical support if necessary.
1 red blinking LED
- Communication between modules has marginal signal strength.
- Moving modules is recommended, typically the indoor alarm module.
- Move alarms closer to each other or put in a different location.
- The maximum distance between modules should be 200ft.
- Steel buildings and other structures can interfere with signal strength.
3 red blinking LEDs and Xpert Alert®/WiFi Alarming
Alarm modules are not communicating with each other, the modules have not
communicated in the last 15 minutes.

* Repeat Step 3: Test alarm and verify power on both modules. - If both units fail step 3 and have power, move to the next bullet.
- Moving modules is required, typically the indoor alarm module.
- Move alarm modules closer to each other or put in a different location.
- The maximum distance between modules should be 200ft.
- Steel buildings and other structures can interfere with signal strength.
- If you still have 3 red blinking LEDs, move to the next bullet.
- The modules may need to be paired.
- Press and hold pairing button on panel module for 10 seconds. Within 10 minutes press and hold pairing button on alarm module for 10 seconds (signal LEDs will flash when in pairing mode) .
- Upon being paired (typically less than 30 seconds) they will automatically go into setup mode.
- If pairing is unsuccessful, modules are out of range from one another, move units closer to one another.
- Repeat step 3: Test alarm, after pairing units.
The alarm does not power up with Xpert Alert® alarm battery backup:
-Xpert Alert® RF alarm does not function on the Xpert Alert® alarm battery backup power.
