About This Guide
This guide explains how to handle the ELPFT01.
When you install the Touch Unit, you can draw and perform operations on the
projected screen using your fingers.
See the “Installation Guide” that you can access using the QR code on the
right for more details.
Using the Product Safely
Warning
Do not disassemble or remodel the Touch Unit.
The Touch Unit contains a high power laser product that could cause a fire,
electric shock, or an accident.
Do not connect the Touch Unit to an unsupported projector or to another
device.
The device could malfunction, or laser light that is higher than normal
intensity could be emitted.
Do not go near the Touch Unit if you are using medical equipment such as a
pace maker.
Furthermore, when using the Touch Unit, make sure there is no one using
medical equipment such as a pace maker, in the surrounding area. A powerful
magnet within the unit generates electromagnetic interference which may cause
medical equipment to malfunction.
Caution
Do not go near the Touch Unit with magnetic storage media such as magnetic
cards, or precision electronic devices such as computers, digital watches, or
mobile phones.
A powerful magnet within the unit could corrupt data or cause a malfunction.
The magnet on the back of the Touch Unit exerts a powerful magnetic attraction
on the installation surface. When installing, be careful not to trap your
fingers or any other part of your body between the magnets and the
installation surface.
Do not disassemble the Touch Unit when disposing of it. Dispose according to
your local or national laws and regulations.

Installation
Follow the steps below to install the Touch Unit ( A ). See the “Installation Guide” for detailed installation instructions and the initial configurations for touch operations.
- Attach the Touch Unit to the projection surface.
- Connect the Touch Unit and the projector with the cable.
- Press the [Menu] button on the projector to make settings in the [Installation] > [Touch Unit] menu.
Attached labels
The Touch Unit is a Class 1 laser product that conforms to the
IEC/EN60825-1:2014 standard.
There are warning labels affixed to the Touch Unit to indicate that it is a
Class 1 laser product ( B ).
The labels contain the following information.
- Class 1 laser product
- Warning: Do not open the case. The device contains a high power laser product.
- Warning:
- Caution: If this section is opened, class 3B invisible laser radiation will be emitted.
- Avoid exposure to the radiation beams.
Laser diffusion port
The laser beam is diffused from the laser diffusion ports ( E ) at the back of the Touch Unit.
