Product Installation and Cable Recommendations

Use CAT5e solid core ethernet cable for connectivity. For HDMI connection, it is recommended to use CB-60, CB-61 or CB-62 HDMI Active Optical Cable based on the required length. The device supports different SD cards from Kingston, Sandisk, Sony, and Toshiba. Ensure that the SD card used is compatible with the device before usage.

Workflow

The device can be connected to other devices such as BC-50 IP Block Camera, audio mixer, laptops for control, router, and tripod to create a complete streaming workflow. The device can record the stream into an SD card or stream directly over WIFI or LAN connection.

Product Usage Instructions

1. Connect the device to the input source via SDI or HDMI input.
2. Ensure that the input source resolution is supported by the device.
3. Insert a compatible SD card into the SD card slot at the front of the device.
4. Power on the device using the power switch at the front of the device.
5. Adjust bitrate and other settings using the front panel buttons.
6. Record and stream content by pressing the RECORD+STREAM button or use the RECORD and STREAM buttons separately.
7. Monitor the output using a compatible device or platform.
8. If necessary, update firmware via web UI.

Overview

The NVS-33 is an H.264 video encoder that can stream and record simultaneously. It has HD-SDI and HDMI video inputs as well as RCA audio inputs, making it ideal for both broadcast and AV markets. Once the IP address is set and saved, the NVS-33 generates an H.264 encoded stream that is compliant with RTSP, RTMP, and HLS protocols, and records a MP4 file to a removable SD card. Variable bit-rates can be selected for high quality recording of streams up to 15 Mbps. The NVS-33 also supports de-interlace video streaming for progressive outputs, making it compatible for use with popular CDN’s such as Facebook and Youtube. It also allows analog audio to be embedded in real time.
