PARAMETER SETTING OF MICROWAVE SENSOR

HALCYON LED363 LED Ceiling Lamp - sensor 1

Detection Area
This determines the effective range of the motion detector and is set by DIP switches at the sensor itself, refer to figure. Note that reducing the sensitivity will also narrow the detection range.

| 1| 2|
---|---|---|---
I| ON| ON| 100%
II| | ON| 75%
III| ON| | 50%
IV| | | 25%

Stand-by Period
This refers to “Low light period” , when it is set to +°°, the luminaire gives permanent low light when no movement detected.it is set with DIP switches at the sensor itself, refer to figure.

| 6| 7| 8|
---|---|---|---|---
I| ON| ON| ON| Os

III| ON| | ON| 20min
IV| | | ON| 30min
V| ON| ON| | 60min
V I|   | | | +00

Daylight
Under Mode 1:
When the daylight level drops below the set value, the microwave sensor becomes active.
When the daylight level exceeds the set value, the light will be always off.
The “disable” setting disables the daylight sensor.
Under Mode 2:
When the daylight level drops below the LUX value, the fitting will tum on at the standby level and the microwave sensor becomes active.
The “disable” setting disables the daylight sensor.

| 1| 2|
---|---|---|---
I| ON| ON| Disable
II| | ON| 15 LUX
III| ON| | 10 LUX
IV| | | 5 LUX

Hold Time
This determines the time the fitting remains at 100% level on motion detection and is set with DIP switches at the sensor itself, refer to figure. The walk test setting is useful when installing the fitting to establish correct operation and range.

| 3| 4| 5|

Daylight Sensor Mode
Mode1: Normal light-control.
Mode2: Photocell prioritised, meaning the luminaire is off when ambient brightness accesses the set threshold, and automatically on to a low light level when ambient brightness is lower than the set threshold, and tums to high light level when it detects a movement. See page 4 for more details.

| 6|
---|---|---
I| ON| Model 1
II| | Model 2

Daylight 2
This is only applicable under mode2, refers to the threshold when the luminaire should turn off (from low light status) at the relevant sunlight lux.

I| ON| ON| ON| Disable
II| | ON| ON| 150 LUX

DAYLIGHT SENSOR MODE EXPLAINED

****Daylight Sensor Mode

| 6|
---|---|---
I| ON| Model 1
II| | Model 2

Mode 1: “Normal” Light Control
When the ambient light levels drop below the set lux value the motion sensor activates but luminaire remains off. If motion i s detected the luminaire will tum on to 100% but
only if the ambient light level is less than the set lux value.
Example, if sensor i s set to:
“Mode 1 : Daylight 1 @ 15 lux” the following rules apply.

  1. When ambient light is greater than 15lux , luminaire will remain in an off state.
  2. When ambient light drops below 15lux , luminaire will switch to 100% output for set period of time (hold time) when motion is sensed.
  3. If ambient light levels retum to greater than 15 lux, luminaire will turn off (once hold time has expired) and will not turn on when motion is sensed.

Mode 2 : “Photocell Prioritised” Light Control
When the ambient light levels drop below the set lux value the lumi naire automatically tumson to 20% low light output / standby mode. If motion is detected the luminaire will turn on to 100%. When in Mode 2 + Daylight 1, use the Daylight 2 settings to determine when luminaire should fully tum off from low light mode.
Example, if sensor is set to:
“Mode 2: Daylight 1 @ 15 lux + Daylight 2 @ 100 lux” the following rules apply.

  1. When ambient light is greater than 15 lux , luminaire will remain in an off state.
  2. When ambient light drops below 15lux , luminaire will turn on to low light mode at 20% brightness and will switch to 100% output for set period of time (hold time) when motion is sensed.
  3. When ambient light levels retum to greater than 100 lux (daylight 2 setting) luminaire will exit low light mode and tum off regardless of motion (until ambient light drops below 15 lux again)
