Kyocera Document Solutions Printer

The Kyocera Document Solutions Printer is a high-end printing device suitable for a variety of businesses. It is available in four models: ECOSYS MA6000ifx, ECOSYS MA5500ifx, ECOSYS MA4500ifx, and ECOSYS MA4500ix.

Product Usage

Follow these instructions to properly use your Kyocera Document Solutions Printer:

Step 1: Install Printer Driver & Utility
Download the printer driver and utility from the following URL: https://kyocera.info/ and follow the instructions for installation.

Step 2: Connect Cables
Connect the power cord, network cable (10Base-T/100Base-TX/1000Base-T) or USB cable (USB 2.0) to the printer.

Step 3: Loading Paper
Load paper into the paper trays according to the instructions in the operation guide.

Step 4: Setting up Toner Container
Install the toner container following the instructions in the operation guide.

Step 5: Install Waste Toner Box
Install the waste toner box following the instructions provided in the operation guide.

Step 6: Replace Operation Panel Sheet
Replace the operation panel sheet using the instructions provided in the operation guide.

Step 7: Power On
Press the power button and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup process. Please note that this guide only covers basic operations. Refer to the operation guide downloaded from the Kyocera website for more detailed information on using your printer.

Power On

At the first time when turning on the main power switch, the machine runs Startup Wizard to set the following:

1. Language
2. Date/Time
3. Network
4. E-mail
5. Home Screen Setup
6. Others

Follow the instructions on the operation panel.

Quick Setup Wizard

The machine provides Quick Setup Wizard in System Menu to set the following as necessary:

1. FAX Setup (ECOSYS MA6000ifx/ECOSYS MA5500ifx/ ECOSYS MA4500ifx)
2. Paper Setup
3. Energy Saver Setup
4. Network Setup
5. Email Setup
6. Security Setup

Follow the instructions on the operation panel.

Altitude Adjustment (1000m or higher Only)

• [Adjustment/Maintenance] > [Altitude Adjustment]

Print Status Page

• [Notification/Report] > [Print Report/List] > [Status Page] > [Print]

Install Drivers and Utilities

• https://kyocera.info/
• After accessing the above URL, install it based on the instruction of the screen.

Cancel Printing

• Select the job you wish to cancel > [Cancel] > [Yes]

Copy

• Select the functions.
• Enter the copy quantity.

Scan (E-mail)

Setup

• Launch your Web browser.
• In the Address or Location bar, enter the machine’s IP address or Printer Host Name.
• Enter “Admin” and “xxxxxxxxxx”, and log in to  Command Center RX with administrator authority.
• From the [Function Settings] menu, click [E-mail].

Set SMTP Protocol [On], and then enter the following items.

• SMTP Server Name
• E-mail Size Limit
• Sender Address

Send

• Enter destination E-mail address > [OK]
• Select the functions.

FAX (ECOSYS MA6000ifx/ECOSYS MA5500ifx/ECOSYS MA4500ifx only)

• Specify destination.
• Select the functions.

Private printing

From a PC

• To activate the private printing from the PC, set items No. 1 and 2 on the screen.

From the Operation Panel

• [Job Box] > Select the document to print > [Print]
• Enter the password > [OK]

Troubleshooting

• If an error occurs on the machine, the error message appears on the screen. Also the Attention indicator on the operation panel will light up or flash. Follow the instructions on the screen to clear the error. For details, refer to the Operation Guide.

Clear Paper Jam

• If a paper jam occurs, follow the guidance on the operation panel to remove the paper.
