Product Information: 60 in. Wire Extension Kit – Model 99779

The 60 in. Wire Extension Kit – Model 99779 is an accessory for Hunter ceiling fans that allows the user to extend the length of the fan’s wires by 60 inches. The kit includes three wires with connectors and is suitable for use with most Hunter ceiling fans.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Use wire cutters to cut each fan wire. The lengths of the three wires must be staggered by at least 3 inches (76 mm) to allow the connectors to be inserted into the dowered more easily.
  2. Strip 3/8 inch (9 mm) of insulation from the fan wires using the guide provided on the back of the connector.
  3. Lift the lever on the connector until fully upright to open. Insert the stripped wire and secure it by lowering the lever. for the remaining wires, making sure that no bare or uninsulated wire is exposed.
  4. Remove precut insulation from each extension wire. Lift opposite connector lever until fully upright to open. Insert stripped extension wire of the same color and secure it by lowering the lever. Make sure that no bare or uninsulated wire is exposed. Repeat for the remaining wires.
  5. Always keep connectors separated by about 3 inches (76 mm) when away from each other when inserting wires into dowered as shown in the picture. Pass all wires to one side of the horizontal bar in the dowered assembly. Remember to move the ground wire from the provided dowered to the new dowered.
  6. Refer to your fan installation manual to connect the dowered to the fan and to tighten the setscrew with pliers to secure the dowered before hanging the fan and connecting the wires.
  7. Note: Fisht ape is recommended to feed wire extensions and connectors through the dowered. Twist wire strands prior to inserting them into the connector.

Warranty Information

The Hunter Fan Company provides a limited warranty for this accessory. The accessory is warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of sale. If the accessory malfunctions or fails due to a defect in material or workmanship within the warranty period, Hunter Fan Company will replace it free of charge. This warranty is in lieu of all other express warranties. The duration of any implied warranty, including but not limited to any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, in respect to any accessory, is expressly limited to the period of the express warranty set forth above for such accessory.

WARNING

  • To avoid possible electrical shock, before installing or servicing your fan, disconnect the power by turning off the circuit breakers to the outlet box and associated wall switch location. If you cannot lock the circuit breakers in the off position, securely fasten a prominent warning device, such as a tag, to the service panel.
  • All wiring must be in accordance with national and local electrical codes ANSI/NFPA 70. If you are unfamiliar with wiring or in doubt, consult a qualified electrician.
  • The ceiling fan must be grounded. If the ground wire for the installation site is not present, immediately STOP installation and consult a qualified electrician.

Installation

The Hunter Fan Company makes the following limited warranty to the original purchaser of this accessory (“Accessory”): Your accessory is warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of sale. If the Accessory malfunctions or fails within the warranty period due to a defect in material or workmanship we will replace it free of charge. IF THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER CEASES TO OWN THE Accessory, THIS WARRANTY AND ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE VOIDED. THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTIES. THE DURATION OF ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, IN RESPECT TO ANY Accessory, IS EXPRESSLY LIMITED TO THE PERIOD OF THE EXPRESS WARRANTY SET FORTH ABOVE FOR SUCH Accessory. This warranty excludes malfunctions or failures which were caused by repairs by persons not authorized by us, mishandling, improper installation, modifications, or damage to the Accessory while in your possession, or unreasonable use. IN NO EVENT SHALL HUNTER FAN COMPANY BE LIABLE FOR CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS OR THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATIONS OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS WHICH VARY.
