HEATSTRIP TT-MTR-PLUG Plug In Controller

Introduction

The TT-MTR-PLUG controller consists of a remote control and a plug-in wall socket timer unit to provide easy wireless timer operation of wall plug connected appliances.
The TT-MTR-PLUG has been designed to provide easy remote control timer functionality to wall socket powered Head-trip heaters. The unit can however be used to remotely operate with timer functionality any device powered by a standard 10A Australian wall socket outlet.

Design Features

  • The TT-MTR-PLUG provides an easy means of remotely turning on appliances that are normally permanently connected to a standard wall socket.
  • An easily selected 1 hour, 2 hour and 4 hour timer function accessible on both the wall unit and remote
  • The slimline design of the wall unit allows side by side installation of multiple units into a double wall socket outlet.
  • Programmable remote control unit capable of controlling multiple units.

Operation

To use the controller, simply plug the wall unit into a regular wall socket outlet and then connect your appliance to the controller. Switch the wall outlet on. The appliance can now be controlled by using either the buttons on the wall unit or on the remote control. To turn the appliance on press the On/Off button on either the wall unit or the remote control.

Timer

To use the timer, turn the appliance on and then press the Timer button on either the wall unit or the remote control. Each press of the timer button will scroll the timer delay from 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours and permanently on

The appliance will remain on until the selected delay period has passed, after which the wall unit will turn the appliance off.

If the Timer button is pressed after the desired time delay has been selected, the new time delay peri-od will initiate. For example, if the Timer button pressed 30 minutes into a 1 hour time delay, a new 2 hour time delay period will start.

Remote Control

The remote control will operate at a distance up to and usually over 10 meters. Objects such as win-dows and solid walls will reduce the remote range. The remote also has limited range when operated from sharp angles.
The range of the remote is similar to most TV remotes.

Code Matching

Each TT-MTR-PLUG product is supplied with a remote control that is specifically programmed to oper-ate only the wall controller unit supplied. This allows multiple controllers to be operated individually in a confined space without interference.
If multiple units are to be operated independently it is advised to mark or label each remote control to avoid confusion

It is also possible to control multiple wall units using a single remote control. To do this the wall unit must be ‘code-matched’ to the remote. To do this follow the step given below:

  1. Insert a wall unit into a outlet socket
  2. Turn on the wall socket power.
  3. Press and hold at the same time both the ON/OFF and TIMER buttons on the WALL UNIT for a minimum seconds until all 4 LED lights flash.
  4. While the LED lights are flashing press either the ON/OFF or TIMER button on the REMOTE you wish to use the operate the wall unit. Note: If no button is pressed within 30 seconds the wall unit will exit the programming mode and the LEDs will stop flashing.
  5. Once a button on the remote has been pressed the wall unit LEDs will flash 5 times quickly.
  6. The wall unit is now match to the remote control.
