Product Information
The Swivel Portable DVD Player Model SDVD1256-C is a compact and portable device designed for entertainment on the go. It features a 11.6 inch LCD swivel screen, built-in speakers, and a rechargeable battery. The DVD player supports various disc formats including CD, DVD, DVD+/-R/RW, and CD-R/RW. It also has a USB port and SD card reader for playing media files from external devices.

Product Usage
- Ensure the device is charged before use by plugging it into a power outlet using the provided AC adapter.
- To play a disc, insert it into the disc slot on the right side of the device. The disc will start playing automatically.
- To play media files from an external device, plug in a USB drive or insert an SD card into the corresponding slot on the left side of the device. Use the arrow buttons on the remote control or on the device itself to navigate through your media files and select the one you want to play.
- Adjust the volume and screen brightness using the buttons on the device or remote control.
- To swivel the screen, gently push it to the left or right until it clicks into place at your desired angle.
- Connect headphones or external speakers using the headphone jack or AV output port on the right side of the device.
- To turn off the device, press and hold the power button until the screen goes black.

NOTES ON HANDLING
- When shipping the unit, always use the original shipping carton and packing materials. For maximum protection, repack the unit as it was originally packed at the factory.
- Do not use volatile liquids, such as insect spray, near the unit. Do not leave rubber or plastic products in contact with the unit for a long time. They will leave marks on the finish.
- The top and rear panels of the unit may become warm after a long period of use. This is normal and not a malfunction.
- When the DVD player is not in use, be sure to remove the disc and turn off the power.
NOTES ON LOCATING THE DVD PLAYER
- When you place this unit near a TV, radio or VCR, the playback picture may become poor and the sound may be distorted. In this case, move the unit away from the TV, radio or VCR.
NOTES ON CLEANING
Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning
- For stubborn dirt, soak the cloth in a weak detergent solution, wring well and wipe. Use a dry cloth to wipe it dry. Do not use any type of solvent, such as thinner and benzene, as they may damage the surface of the unit.
- If you use a chemical-saturated cloth to clean the unit, follow that product’s instructions.
_ Warning: _Cleaning and adjustment of lenses and /or other components of playback mechanism should be performed by a qualified service technician.
NOTES ON MOISTURE CONDENSATION
Moisture condensation damages the DVD player. Please read the following carefully.
- Moisture condensation occurs, for example, when you pour a cold drink into a glass on a warm day. Drops of water form on the outside of the glass. In the same way, moisture may condense on the optical pick-up lens inside this unit, one of the most crucial internal parts of the DVD player.
Moisture condensation occurs during the following cases
- When you bring the DVD player directly from a cold place to a warm place.
- When you use the DVD player in a room where you just turned on the heater, or a place where the cold wind from the air conditioner directly hits the unit.
- In summer, when you use the DVD player in a hot and humid place just after you moved the unit from an air conditioned room.
- When you use the DVD player in a humid place.
Do not use the DVD player when moisture condensation may occur
- If you use the DVD player in such a situation, it may damage discs and internal parts. Remove the disc, connect the AC/DC Adaptor to the DVD player and the wall outlet, turn on the DVD player and leave it ON for two or three hours. After two or three hours, the DVD player will have warmed up and evaporated any moisture.

DISC TYPES: DVD
Data on most DVDs is divided into sections called titles and then into subsections called chapters, each of which is given a title or chapter number. Some features of this DVD player will not operate with some DVD discs as they are preset. If a function you selected does not run as desired , refer to the manual accompanying the DVD disc.
AUDIO CD
- Data on an audio CD is divided into sections called tracks , each of which is given a track number.
IMPORTANT
It is important that you read the manual that accompanies the DVD disc , as there are features that are on the DVD player that cannot be used with certain DVDs . There are also extra features on the DVD disc that are different for each DVD disc, so they are not explained in this owner’s manual. This player conforms to the NTSC and PAL color systems. However, if you are in the USA, Canada or Mexico,leave this setting on NTSC. If incorrectly set to PAL ,the TV picture may roll vertically. In this case , set the TV system to NTSC.

Reverse engineering or disassembly is prohibited.
Region Management Information
This DVD Player is designed and manufactured to respond to the Region Management Information that is recorded on a DVD disc. If the Region number described on the DVD disc does not correspond to the Region number of this DVD player, this DVD player cannot play that disc. You may not be able to play back some DVD video discs on this player if they were purchased from outside your geographic area or made for business purposes. When you try to play back an unauthorized disc, Wrong Region appears on the TV screen.

BATTERY INSTALLATION
(REMOTE CONTROL)
Battery installation
- Press the tabs on the battery door and lift it off.
- Install two (2) x AAA size batteries into the battery compartment as the figure on righ and the polarity markings inside battery compartment.
- Replace the battery door.
BATTERY PRECAUTIONS
Follow these precautions when using a battery in this device:
- Use only the size end type of battery specified.
- Be sure to follow the correct polarity when installing the battery as indicated in the battery compartment. A reversed battery may cause damage to the device.
- Do not mix different types of batteries together (e.g. Alkaline and Carbon-zinc) or old batteries with fresh ones.
- If the batteries in the device are consumed or the device is not to be used for a long period of time, remove the batteries to prevent damage or injury from possible battery leakage.
- Do not try to recharge the battery not intended to be recharged; it can overheat and rupture. (Follow battery manufacturer’s directions.)
- Do not dispose of battery in fire. Battery may explodes or leak.
- Clean the battery contacts and also those of the device prior to battery installation.
Remote Control Sensor
Remarks
- When there is an obstacle between the unit and the transmitter, the transmitter may not operation.
- When direct sunlight, an incandescent lamp, fluorescent lamp or any other strong light shines on the remote control of the unit, the remote operation may be unstable.
POWER SOURCE
The unit has a built-in DC 7.4V Lithium-ion rechargeable battery. Recharge it as follows:
Charging by supplied AC/DC Adaptor:
- Connect the small plug from the supplied ACIDC Adaptor to the DC IN Jack on the right of unit.
- Connect the ACIDC Adaptor to the wall outlet having AC 100-240V—; 50/60Hz.
- During charging, the Red Indicator will turn on. When finished, it will turn off.
_ NB: _The ACIDC Adaptor is intended to be correctly orientated in a vertical or floor mount position.
Notes: Your battery will last longer if you follow these simple guidelines for caring for and storing it.
- Recharge and store the device within the temperature range of 50C—350C (400F—950F).
- Do not overcharge (longer than 24 hours). Excessive charging or discharging may shorten the battery’s life.
- Battery life naturally shortens slowly over time.
Charging by the supplied Car Adaptor
- Connect to the cigarette lighter socket of a vehicle that has a 12V battery as the figure below. It is NOT compatible with a vehicle that has a 24V battery.
- This is a special negative grounded Car Adapter. Using this Car Adapter with a plus grounded car can cause malfunction.
- Do NOT plug in the Car Adapter until the car ignition is turned on.
- Disconnect the Car Adapter from the cigarette ligher and the unit after use.
CONNECTIONS
- Connecting to a TV or Video Player (such like DVD; VCR; or DVR Players … ) with an AV connection cable.
NOTE
- The default setting of the unit is AV Out, if connect to external Video to turn back to AV Out mode. Player (such like DVD; VCR; DVR Players … ), press the MODE Button to set to AV IN mode (“AV IN” will appear on the screen). Press again
- Using the earphone to listen privately.
OPERATIONS
- Lift up the panel and turn to angle. Slide the Power ON/OFF switch to “ON” to gx»wer on the unit, the Græn Indicator on front of the player will light.
- Push OPEN Switch to the disc door. Place the disc on the center spindle with label side facing up. Close the disc door and the player will start playback automatically.
- During playback:
- Press the or Buttons to fast search for a section forward/backward.
- Press Play Button to resume normal playback.
- Press the or Buttons repeatedly to skip to track.
- Press Button to pause, and press the Button again to resume normal playback.
- Press the VOL (Volume) +1- Buttons to adjust volume level.
- Press and hold the STOP Button about 3 seconds to stop playback. The player will the point where disc was stopped. When press Play/Pause Button again, playback will start from this
- To stop playback completely or to start from press and hold the STOP Button again about 3 seconds.
- To power off, press the POWER Button on the Remote Control to turn the player to standby mode. Press the POWER Button again to turn the player on from standby mode. (For saving energy, always power off the player by slide the Power ON/OFF Switch on the player to OFF position or unplug the AC/DC Adaptor from player and wall outlet.)
Repeat Playback: (DVD)
- During playback, press the REPEAT button once; Chapter will playback.
- Press the REPEAT button twice; Title ” will appear on the screen then the current Title will playback.
- Press the REPEAT button the third time; ” All ” will appear on the screen then all files will playback.
- Press the REPEAT button repeatedly until all the repeat indicators disappear on the screen to turn off the the repeat mode.
Repeat Playback: (CD)
- During playback, press the REPEAT Button once; Track ” will on the screen then the current playing track will playback.
- Press the REPEAT Button twice; ALL ” will on the screen then all the tracks on the disc will playback.
- Press the REPEAT Button repeatedly until all repeat indicators on the screen to tum off repeat mode.
(CD/DVD)Program
- During CD or DVD playback, press the PROG ( Program ) button.
- Using the Direction and Numeric Buttons to select and set the desired TT (Title), CH (Chapters), tracks (for CD) of the movie (music) you wants. The Program menu will appear as follows.
- Using the Direction Button to select and highlight the “START” Button on the screen then press the 0K Button to start program playback.
OPERATIONS
LCD ON/OFF
- Press to tum on or off the LCD display.
POWER
- Press to tum to standby mixie. Press again to tum on.
VOL/Volume +/-
- Press to increase or volume.
MUTE
- Press to turn off the sound, press again to resume.
MENU
- Press to retum to disc’s menu page (Function depends on the of the disc). OSD (On Scræn Display)
- During playback, press the OSD button to read the information of playback status.
SUBTITLE
- During DVD playback, press repeatedly to select the desired subtitle (Function on the recording of disc).
STEP
- During movie playback, press STEP Button repeatedly to play the movie frame by frame.
- Press the Play/Pause Button to resume normal playback.
TITLE
- Press to return to disc’s title (Function on the of the disc).
ANGLE
- Press to turn off the sound, press again to resume. (Function depends on the recording of During DVD playback, press repeatedly to select the viewing angle disc).
AUDIO
- During DVD playback, press repeatedly to select the desired language (Function depends on the recording of disc).
GOTO
- To select the desired Title and Chapter, press the GOTO Button once, the Title and Chapter selection menu will appear on the screen. Use the Direction and Numeric Buttons to select the desired title and chapter. The unit will play the selected chapter automatically.
- Select the desired establish time by Title to play, press the GOTO Button twice, the time selection table appear on the screen. Using the Direction and Numeric Buttons to enter the desired time. The unit will start plays the movie from the selected established time automatically.
- Select the desired establish time by Chapter to play, press the GOTO Button three times, the time selection table appear on the screen. Using the Direction and Numeric Buttons to enter the desired time. The unit will start plays the movie from the selected establish time automatically.
A-B Repeat
- During Playback, press the A-B Button to define where you want the section to start. Press the A-B Button again to define where you would like the section to end, the unit will then plays the selected section repeatedly and continuously. Press the A-B Button again to resume normal playback. (This function is not available on all discs).
SLOW
- During playback, press the SLOW Button to set the slow motion speed. Press the Play/Pause Button to resume normal playback.
ZOOM
- During movies playback, press the ZOOM Button to zoom in out the picture. In zoom mode, press Direction Buttons to select the parts of the picture to watch. This function is not available on all discs.
USB or SD/MMC CARD PLAYBACK
- Insert the USB Device or SD/MMC memory card into the USB port /card slot as the figure below.
- NB: The unit supported to playback:
- MP3; WMA (Music file)
- JPG (Pictures)
- MPEG2; AVI; VOB (Video files up to 640 x 480 pixels)
- Make sure correct files were saved in the USB device or memory cards.
- In Power ON mode, press the USB/CARD Button on remote control, or press DVD/USB/CARD Button on the panel, the “DVD, CARD, USB” selection window will pop up on the screen. Using the Direction Buttons to select and highlight the desired source, then press the 0K Button to confirm. Press the 0K Button again, the Folder/FiIe list will appear. using the Direction button to select the desired file then press the 0K Button to start playback.
- During playback:
- Press the or Button repeatedly to skip tracks.
- Press the or Button repeatedly to select and set the fast searching speed
- Press the Play/Pause Button to pause. Press again to resume.
- When finished, press the STOP Button to stop. Press the POWER Button to power off (Standby) the unit.
NOTE: For saving battery power. If long period of time will not use, power off the unit by slide the POWER ON-OFF Switch to OFF position. Using the earphone to listen privately.
SYSTEM SETUP
Setting Menus
In stop playback mode, press the SETUP Button the menu will appear on the screen as below. Using the Direction Buttons to select and highlight the function you need to set or reset. Press the OK Button to enter or confirmed the selection. After ætting, press the SET UP Button to save the settings and exit.
In General Setup Page
- If TV Shape is selected, using the Direction and 0K Button to set the aspect ratio to match the connected TV.
- If Angle Mark is selected, using the Direction and 0K buttons to set it On or Off. If set to On, when multi-angles are available in the playing DVD, the mufti-angle logo will appear on the screen.
- If OSD Lang (On Screen Display Language) is selected, using the Direction and 0K Buttons to set the OSD language as desired.
- If Screen Saver is selected, using the Direction and 0K Buttons to set it On or Off. If set to On, the screen saver will come on when the unit stops or the image is paused for approximately five minutes.
- If Last Memory is selected, using the Direction and 0K Buttons to set it On or Off. If set to On, the unit will start playback from the position where the disc was stopped last time.
In Audio Setup Page
If Speaker Setup is selected, press the 0K Button, the sub-setting menu will appear.
- If Downmix is selected, using the Direction and 0K Buttons set it to Lt/Rt; Stereo.
- If set to Lt/Rt, the rear left or rear right channels will plays on both Left and Right Speakers.
- If set to Stereo, the rear left channel will plays on Left Speaker, the rear right channel will plays on Right Speaker.
In Dolby Setup Page
- If Dual Mono is selected, using the Direction and 0K Buttons to set it to Stereo, L-Mono (Play Left channel on all speakers), R-Mono (Play Right channel on all speakers) or Mix-Mono (Mixed Right and Left channel then plays on all speakers) as desire. (Functions depend on the recording of the disc).
- If Dynamic is selected, using the Direction and 0K Buttons to set the dynamic level as desired or tum it off.
SYSTEM SETUP
In Video Setup Page
- If “Picture” is selected, using the Direction and 0K Buttons to set the panel quality such like Sharpness; Brightness; Contrast; Hue or Saturation as desired.
- If Picture Quality is selected, using the Direction and 0K Buttons to set the Sharpness; Brightness; Contrast; Gamma; Hue or Saturation of the Video input signal as desired.
In Preference Setup Page
- If TV Type is selected, using the Direction and 0K Buttonsto set to PAL, AUTO or NTSC.
- ( NOTE: The TV system in USA, Canada and Mexico is NTSC.)
- If Audio, Subtitle or Disc Menu is selected, using the Direction and 0K buttons to the priority of the available language. ( Function depend the recording Of DVD).
- If Parental is selected, using the Direction and 0K Buttons to the rating level as desire as follow:
- Press the Button to enter, the rating level list will appear.
- Press the A or Button to select the desired level.
- Press the OK Button to enter, password enter window will pop up.
- Enter the six-digit password ( default password is 136900 ) by pressing the Numeric Buttons.
- Press the OK Button to save the settings and exit.
- Rate levels:
- (Kid Saf ): Kid safe
- (G): All ages
- (Pg): Parental Guidance
- (Pg 13): Parental Guidance less than 13 years old
- (Pgr): Under 17 years old, Parental Guidance suggested
- (R): Under 17 years old, Parental Guidance strongly
- (Nc 17): 17 years old or above
- (Adult): Adult only
- If Password is selected, press the 0K Button to enter, the sunsetting menu will
- If Password McKie is selected, using the Direction and 0K buttons to set it On (activate the rating level setting) or Off (Password is needed).
- If Password is press the 0K Button twice to enter. The New password setting menu will.
- Enter the six digit old password. The Colum of New Password will highlight.
- Enter the new six digit password. The Colum of Confirm Pwd will be highlighted.
- Enter the new password again. The oK Button on the screen Will be highlighted.
- Press the OK Button to save the setting and exit.
- If Default is selected, using the Direction and OK Buttons to reset all press the SETUP Button to exit without changes.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Caring for Discs
- Treat the disc carefully. Handle the disc only by its edges.
- Never allow your fingers to contact with the shiny, unprinted side of the disc.
- Do not attach adhesive tape, stickers, etc. to the disc label.
- Clean the disc periodically with a soft, lint-free,dry cloth, Never use detergents or abrasive cleaners to clean the disc. If necessary, use a CD cleaning kit.
- If a disc skips or gets stuck on a section of the disc, it is probably dirty or damaged(scratched).
- When cleaning the disc, wipe in straight lines from the center of the disc to the outer edge of the disc. Never wipe in circular motions.
