Product Information

The Horizon Select LED Panel is a lighting product that comes in two variants: ELHSPN/C/19/A and ELH612SPCA. It is manufactured by Novah, a company based in the UK. This product is designed to provide efficient lighting for indoor spaces and is suitable for use in homes, offices, and commercial buildings. The LED technology used in this product ensures that it consumes very little energy and lasts longer than traditional lighting options.

Product Usage Instructions

Before installing the Horizon Select LED Panel, please ensure that you have read the installation guide provided in the user manual. This guide provides detailed instructions on how to install the panel correctly and safely.

To use the Horizon Select LED Panel, follow these steps:

1. Ensure that the panel is installed correctly and securely.
2. Connect the panel to a power source using the wiring diagram provided in the user manual.
3. Switch the power to the panel.
4. Adjust the brightness of the panel using the controls provided.
5. The panel can be used for lighting indoor spaces in homes, offices, and commercial buildings.

IMPORTANT:
Please take the time to read this installation guide relating to the following products: ELHSPN/C/19/A and ELH612SPCA Select Panels.

• Inspect the product before installation. If there are any obvious defects do not install them and contact your local retailer.
• Always isolate the power before carrying out any work.
• It may be necessary to upgrade your MCBs to allow for the increased inrush of current.
• These products are fitted with TP(a) rated thermoplastic diffusers and do not have any restrictions (except protected stairways and exits enclosed with fire-resisting construction) and can therefore be used in all areas with no limitation.
• The installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician and the installation complies with IEE regulation BS7671:2008
• Be mindful of the LED power supply location. Ensure it is in a cool, dry location with good airflow. Do not place on top of or below cavity insulation. Doing so will significantly shorten life and cause a certain failure. Doing so will invalidate your warranty.

In the box

• 1 x LED Panel
• 1 x LED Driver

Installation

• Isolate mains power.
• Remove the insulation cover and Connect the mains supply to the LED driver (Note the power supply is a Class II double insulated product).
  • Live: Brown
  • Earth: Green/Yellow
  • Neutral: Blue
• Replace and secure the insulation cover.
• Connect the LED Driver to the LED panel via the male/female plugs. Insert and twist to lock and make a secure connection
• Place the LED driver in a safe location ensuring good airflow.
• Restore the main’s power and test for satisfactory operation.

Adjusting the brightness

• The Horizon select panel is pre-set to an equivalent 4 x 18W T8 Tube CAT2 fitting. The brightness can be adjusted higher or lower depending on the environment.
• Isolate the mains power supply.
• Locate the LED driver and remove the insulation cover on the AC mains input.
• You will see three DIP switches. Use the guide on the rear to choose the desired output and adjust the DIP switches with a small flathead screwdriver to match the instructions.
• Replace the insulation cover, and restore the power to check if the brightness is satisfactory for the environment.

Installation False Ceilings

1. Type of installations
   • For upgrades of existing installations identify where you wish to locate the LED Panel and carefully remove any ceiling tile or existing fitting.
   • For new installations it is recommended to fit the LED Panels before the rest of the false ceiling is installed to allow easy access and also the chance to easily relocate should you be unhappy with the light distribution.
2. First wire the supplied LED driver to the mains power supply. (For dimmable connect to the relative control wires and for Emergency, versions refer to the Emergency product wiring diagram)
3. Carefully move the LED panel into the ceiling aperture ensuring there is at least a 100mm gap between LED Panel fittings to allow heat to dissipate effectively and connect the LED driver to the Panel.
4. Ensure the panel sits securely within the ceiling grid and that the driver is located to the side of the panel and has adequate ventilation to remain cool.

Accessories available separately

• Surface mounting trays: To allow fitting to a solid flat wall or ceiling.
• Suspension kits: All the LED panels are compatible with ceiling suspension kits. The suspension cable can be easily connected to the four allocated screws on the panels.
• Emergency Kits: To use the fitting as a maintained Emergency Luminaire. Note Lumen output in emergency mode is 300lm for 3 hours of use.

Advice:

• Thermal Management: Where LED products are installed with less than 100mm spacing between them, the risk of failure due to inadequate heat management is high and this will invalidate the warranty as per our terms and conditions relating to the correct installation of products. Also, ensure there is no insulation covering the product or the LED power supply.
