Product Information

The Onyx series LED Flood Light is available in five different models – EL50X3F, EL100X3F, EL150X3F, EL200X3F, and EL300X3F. Theproduct dimensions and net weight vary with each model, as shown in the table below. These flood lights have a high lumen output and come equipped with a light source that offers a color rendering index (CRI) of over 80. They are suitable for use in a wide range of temperatures and have a durable design with a high level of weather resistance.

The flood lights have a power factor (PF) of >0.9 and come with an ingress protection (IP) rating of IP65. They have an impact resistance rating of IK08 and are classified as Class I safety products.

Product Usage Instructions

To install the Onyx series LED Flood Light, follow the steps below:

  1. Identify a suitable location for the flood light installation.
  2. Ensure that there is a power supply available nearby and that it is compatible with the flood light’s voltage requirement.
  3. Securely mount the flood light to the surface using the provided screws and bracket.
  4. Connect the wiring from the power supply to the flood light’s wiring according to the wiring diagram provided in the instruction manual.
  5. Turn on the power supply to the flood light and test that it is functioning correctly.

Installation Instructions and Advice

WARNING! The safety precautions must be strictly followed in order to avoid electrical shock, personal injury, and risk of fire. Following these precautions will also avoid damaging the product.

  • Installation should be performed by a fully qualified electrician or technician and should be installed within the current IEE wiring regulations.

  • Isolate the voltage before working with electrics.

  • Remove the product from the packaging and inspect for any damage. If so report this to the retailer at once do not attempt to fix the product yourself.

  • DO NOT under any circumstances open the unit to rewire. If you wish to shortern the cable do not remove the inline Hyrdragasket doing so will invalidate your warranty. junction box to do so.
    If you wish to extend the cable already provided please use a suitable junction box to do so.

  • You may have to change your MCB/RCD breaker type to compensate for higher inrush current upon start-up.

  • For outdoor applications IP65 sealed junction box must be used to prevent any water damage to the cable.

  • This product is NOT suitable for use as a high/low bay or for use in swimming pool areas. Warranty will be null and void if done so.

  • Do not use the product during daylight hours. This will cause overheating and failures. Warranty will be null and void if done so.

Wall Installation
  • Remove the bracket from the product. Use a 10-17mm Spanner to remove the bolt.
  • Position the bracket on the wall, mark out the relevant holes then drill.
  • Using suitable wall fixings (not supplied) and screws secure the bracket to the wall.
  • Align the flood and bracket holes together, fit and tighten the bolt.
  • Turn on the power to activate the unit.

Pole / T-bar Installation

  • Please use suitable fixings for the Pole / T-Bar mounting.
  • The Flood is designed for 360° rotation to ensure good support and better windage on pole mounts.
  • Loosen the bolts on the side using a 17mm spanner, angle the flood in the correct position and tighten.
  • Turn on the power to activate the unit.
