Introduction:

Thank you for choosing the Barracuda Select LED Non-Corrosive luminaire. We recommend that you read this manual carefully before installation or usage of your product. Please ensure you completely understand the instructions to ensure normal working of your LED luminaire.

Important Information:
It is recommended that luminaires are installed and fitted by a fully qualified electrician in accordance with the relevant standards, and that the installation complies with current IEE wiring regulations. This luminaire is suitable for all indoor and external use ‘under cover only’ applications only. This is a Class 1 fitting and must be earthed.

Accessories supplied:
1 x Barracuda fixture, 2 x surface mount bracket with screws and rawl plugs, 1 x M20 cable gland, Stainless steel clips, 1 x instruction manual.

Note: Add 0.2KG for Emergency Kit and 0.02kg for Microwave sensor

Installation:

  1.  Isolate supply voltage before working with electrics.

  2. Carefully remove all packaging and inspect the interior and exterior of the fitting to ensure there are no defects. If there are please notify your retailer.

  3.  Located a suitable location for the fitting. If installing outdoors, please do so under cover.

  4. Mark out the distance, as indicated ,novah EL2BNC3 LED Lighting 01for the mounting bracket, and fix these to the wall/ceiling using the supplied or suitable fixings.
    ( NOTE: DO NOT DRILL THE HOUSING FOR MOUNTING PURPOSES. DOING SO WILL AFFECT THE IP INTEGRITY OF THE PRODUCT AND SUBEQUENTLY THE WARRANTY).

  5.  Identify the cable end entry point and knockout or drill the PC housing with a 20mm drill bit. Fit the supplied CT cable gland securely.

  6. Attach the rear PC housing to the ceiling/wall and ensure it is secure.

  7. Secure the gear tray to the security hooks.

  8. Loosen the CT cable gland and insert the cable through, wire the cable into the terminal block on the gear tray (see FIG 3 below).novah EL2BNC3 LED Lighting 08 Secure the M20 cable gland.

  9. Push the front and back parts together and secure with the supplied stainless-steel clips.

  10. Turn on your power. Note that LED generally have a higher inrush current and may trip your MCB or RCD breaker. In which case a change of breaker type may be required (EG: B type to C type, C type to D type).

Adjusting the Lumen/Power Output

All Selectable units are pre-set to the highest Lumen output (350) (refer to above specification). If you find this to be too bright first isolate the power. Adjust the DIP switches on the LED driver as follows to adjust the lumen outputnovah EL2BNC3 LED Lighting 05 Adjust the Colour Temperature
All Selectable units are pre-set to 4000K. If you wish to change the colour output to either 5000K or 6500K first isolate the power. Adjust the colour switch located on the rear of gear tray to either 5000K or 6500K then turn on the power.

Self-Test Emergency versions (Suffix “F”):
The emergency products are fitted with 2W maintained self-test emergency kit giving a lumen output of 300LM for over 3 hours. The battery fitted is a 1.5Ah LiFePO4 Lithium.
Self-Test Functions:
Function Test: Carried out for 10 seconds every 30 calendar days
Duration Test: Will automatically make a full duration test every 180 calendar days to check the capacity of the batteries.
Note: If the mains supply fails during self-test period the module will terminate

Microwave (Suffix “M”):
