LiveShell W Quick Setup Guide
Thank you for purchasing LiveShell W. Please review the online manual
periodically as news about frequent updates and information about new features
will be added there.
This Quick Setup Gui d e only covers network environments when an IP ad d ress
can be automatically acquired through DHCP, an d ID input an d consent
agreements are not required . Regard ing 3G/4G USB mo d ems, static IP ad d
ress an d other network environments, please refer to the online manual.

Hardware Precautions
Please read the following carefully.
This section explains the precautions that must be taken to prevent harm to
the user or others and damage to property
Caution
The following classification indicates the hazards and their degree of
severity that may result from mishandling Live Shell W.
A hazard that may result in personal injury or property damage if the product
is mishandled.
High Temperature of the Main Unitt
The surface of the main unit may become hot due to heat dissipation and may
cause burns or other injury if touched.Handle with care when the power is on
and immediately after the power is turned off,

About Power Supply
When using a power supply (AC adapter, mobile battery, etc.) other than that
Supplied with the product, use a pOwer supply that meets all ot the following
specifications. Using a power supply that does not meet all of the
specifications may result in the product not operating properly, malfunction,
or fire.

Compatible USB Cable Specifications
USB Iype C to C cable” capable of 3A power supply. Type-A to C cables cannot
be used,
STEP 1
Initial Preparation for Live Shell W
Please plug in the power supply using the Type-C connector to the POWERJ
ĮMAINJ USB C port on the rear of Liveshell w. (Do not push the power button
yet.)
STEP 2
This guide shows setup for when the network environment is one in which an IP
address can be obtained automatically by DHCP, and in which it is not
necessary to enter an lD or consent to a license agreement using a browser.
Setup Network Connection
Follow the below instructions according to the network you are going to use.
Using a Wireless LAN Connection
Connect the included wireless LAN adapter. Then press and hold the top left
button (power button) for 5 seconds to turn on the power.
The order is very important, so please be careful not to make a mistake.

- Connect the wireless LAN adapter
- Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds
- A logo [Cerevo] will appear on the unit display. A few seconds later, the [Live Shell W] logo will appear. After a few
seconds
Using an Ethernet Connection
Connect an Ethernet cable.
Then press and hold the top left button (power button) for 5 seconds to turn
on the power.
The order is very important, so please be careful not to make a mistake.
- Connect Ethernet cable
- Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
STEP 3
Connection to Live Shell Studio
Please follow the instructions below according to the network you connected in STEP 2.
Using a Wireless LAN Connection

Press the control dial, go to [MAIN MENU] [Network]-[AP Mode] and select
[AP Mode On]. -
Do the same operation as in (1), again select [Network], and then select [View AP Info].

Confirm that [ssid] and [pass] are displayed on the unit display.
The above display is an example. Please make sure to check the display on the actual device -
Open the wireless LAN settings of the PC or tablet on which you want to operate LiveShell Studio.

Enter the [ssid] and [pass] that are shown in (3) and connect via wireless LAN.
Using an Ethernet Connection
- Network settings are automatically configured according to the network you are connected to.
Precautions When Connecting Via Wireless LAN
AP Mode is a mode in which LiveShell W itself temporarily becomes a wireless
LAN access point.
AP mode is used only for connection to LiveShell Studio and cannot be used for
live streaming.
Connection to the wireless LAN network used for your live streaming must be
made from LiveShell Studio.
For details on how to connect, please refer to the online manual after
completing STEP 4.
Warranty
CerevoELLyeshell w warranty obligations tor this hardware product are limited to the terms set tort herein. Cerevo, as defined below, warrants this cepvO- branded hardware product against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of ONE YEAR from the date of retail purchase by the original end-user purchaser (“Warranty Period”). However, this warranty does not apply
- (a) if there is ho purchase date, name or signature from the agent on the watranty, or the contents specified on the warranty are altered. he purchase date can be verified by a valid receipt.
- (b) to damage during transportation after purchase.
- (c) to damage caused y accident, abuse, misuse, liquid contact, fire, earthquake or other external causes.
- (d) to damage caused by byelection with other equipment eto damage or trouble Caused by use with non-Cerev@ prodycts.
- (e) to damage caused by operating the product outside the permitted or intended uses described by Cerevo
- (f) to damage caused by service (including repairs and modifications) performed by anyone he is not an epresentative of Cerevo.
- (g) to damage caused by exposing theproduct outside of the recommended environment.

- refund the purchase price of the product.
TO the extent permitted by law, this warranty and the remedies set forth above
are exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties, remedies and conditions,
whether oral, written, statutory, expressed or implied. As permitted by
applicable law, Cerevo specifically disclaims any and all statutory implied
warranties, including. without limitation. warranties of merchantability and
fitness for a particular purpose and warranties against hidden or latent
defects replacement product or part assumes the remaining warranty of the
original product of ninety (90) days from the date of replacement or repai
whichever provides longer coverage for you. when a produot or part is
exchanged, any replacement item becomes your property and the replaced item
becomes Cerevo s property. When a refund is given, the product for which the
refund is provided must be returned to Cerevo and becomes Cerevo property.
Revo does not warrant tat the operation of the protection will be
uninterrupted or error-free. Cerevo is not responsible for damage arising from
failure to follow instructions relating to the product’s use.
Important: Please do not open this hardware. Doing so avoids your warranty.
Except as provided in this warranty and to the extent permitted bylaw, Cerevo
is not responsible for direct special, incidental or consequential damages
resulting from any breach of warranty or condition or under any other legal
theory.

Hardware Precautions
Use this product in an environment that has a temperature between 32″ -104″ F (0″ -40″ C) and a humidity between l 0% – 90%. A low or high temperature may shorten the life of the hardware and could temporarily stop the device as well. Do not use any electrical adapter other than the one provided. Doing so may damage the product or result in a fire. Use the adapter with surge protection only in electrical outlets supplying the electric current specified on the adapter. Do not use this product in any location that is subjected to direct sunlight, water, humidity, fire, or high temperatures. Doing so could damage the product or result in electric shock.

Confirm URL and Login Information
- Press the control dial, select [MAIN MENU]>[Network] [Web Login].
- Confirm that [user] [pass] [URL] is displayed on the unit display.

Open Web Browser
Make sure the PC or tablet on which you want to operate LiveShell Studio is
connected to the same network you connected to in STEP 2 and
STEP 3, then open a web browser.
Enter IP address
Please enter the URL from STEP 4.1.2 into the address bar of your web browser
to accesS LiveShell Studio.
Enter user name and password
Enter the user name [user] and password [pass] from STEP 4.1.2
LiveShell Studio Initial Setup Confirmation
The setup is complete when the LiveShell Studio top screen appears on your web
browser.
Please refer to the LiveShell W Online Manual for live streaming settings,
video settings and more.
