Hardware Precautions

Please read the following carefully

  • This section explains the precautions that must be taken to prevent harm to the user or others and property damage.
  • The following classification indicates the hazards and their degree of severity that may result from mishandling the LiveShell W Battery Case.

CAUTION

A hazard that may result in personal injury or property damage if the product is mishandled.

High Temperature of the Main Unit

  • The surface of the main unit may become hot due to heat dissipation and may cause burns or another injury if touched. Handle with care when the power is on and immediately after the power is turned off.

Installation Instructions

STEP 1 Prepare the mobile battery

  1. Stick the velcro tape to the bottom of the mobile battery (The side without the battery capacity indicator).
  2. Connect the USB TypeC-C cable to the Type C connector on the mobile battery. (Make sure the TypeC-C cable direction is the same as in the image)

STEP 2 Prepare the battery case

  1. Remove the 4 large screws (M3xL4) on the side and the 4 small screws (M2xL5) on the top surface using the small Phillips screwdriver

  2. Remove the top panel of the battery case.

  3. Pass the unconnected Type C cable terminal, connected to the mobile battery prepared in STEP 1, through the grommet from inside the battery case.

  4. Attach the mobile battery to the centre of the inside of the battery case.
    Note: Do not affix over the screw area and make sure the mobile battery and Type C cable do not extend beyond the inside of the battery case

  5. Reattach the top panel to the battery case body in the same direction as in the image.

  6. Fasten the removed in No. 4 large screws (M3xL4) on the side and 4 small screws (M2xL5) on top surface with the small Phillips screwdriver.

STEP 3 Prepare LiveShell W

  1. Use your fingers to remove the 4 rubber feet on the bottom of LiveShell W.
  2. Attach the mounting bracket to the bottom of LiveShell W in the same direction as in the image, and fasten 4 large screws (M3 x L4) in the indicated places using the small Phillips screwdriver.

STEP 4 Attach the battery case to LiveShell W

  1. Using the battery case of
    • STEP 2 and LiveShell W of
    • STEP 3, insert the front part of the mounting bracket fixed on the bottom of LiveShell W into the slot on the top surface of the battery case.
  2. Fix the mounting bracket and the back of the battery case with knurled screw.
  3. Push the Type C-C cable into the battery case, adjust the length, and connect the Type C connector to the power supply unit of LiveShell W, “MAIN or SUB”.

STEP 5 Option: Prepare and attach the second battery case to LiveShell W

  1. Prepare a second mobile battery following the procedure in STEP 1.
  2. Prepare a second battery case following the procedure in STEP 2.
  3. Remove the battery case’s 4 rubber feet from STEP 4 with a large Phillips screwdriver.
  4. Attach the metal bracket to the bottom of the battery case in the same direction as shown in the image, and fasten 4 large screws (M3 x L4) in the indicated places using the small Phillips screwdriver.
  5. Insert the front part of the mounting bracket, fixed to the bottom of the battery case from No. , into the slot on the top surface of the second battery case.
  6. Fix the mounting bracket and the back of the second battery case with a knurled screw.
  7. Push the Type C-C cable into the second battery case, adjust the length, and connect the Type C connector to the power supply unit “MAIN or SUB” of Liveshell W.

Warranty

Cerevo’s LiveShell W Battery Case warranty obligations for this hardware product are limited to the terms set forth herein.
Cerevo, as defined below, warrants this Cerevo-branded hardware product against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for ONE YEAR from the date of retail purchase by the original end-user purchaser (“ Warranty Period”). However, this warranty does not apply :

  • if there is no purchase date, name or signature from the agent on the warranty, or the contents specified on the warranty are altered. The purchase date can be verified by a valid receipt.
  • to damage during transportation after purchase.
  • to damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, liquid contact, fire, earthquake or other external causes.
  • to damage caused by connection with other equipment.
  • to damage or trouble caused by use of non-Cerevo products.
  • to damage caused by operating the product outside the permitted or intended uses described by Cerevo.
  • to damage caused by service (including repairs and modifications ) performed by anyone who is not a representative of Cerevo.
  • to damage caused by exposing the product outside of the recommended environment.

If a hardware defect arises and a valid claim is received within the Warranty Period, at its option and to the extent permitted by law, Cerevo will either:

  1. repair the hardware defect at no charge, using new or refurbished parts that are equivalent to new in performance and reliability.
  2. exchange the product with a product that is new or refurbished that is equivalent to new in performance and reliability and is at least functionally equivalent t o the original product.
  3. refund the purchase price of the product.

To the extent permitted by law, this warranty and the remedies set forth above are exclusive and instead of all other warranties, remedies and conditions, whether oral, written, statutory, expressed or implied. As permitted by applicable law, Cerevo specifically disclaims any statutory or implied warranties, including, without limitation, warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose and warranties against hidden or latent defects. A replacement product or part assumes the remaining warranty of the original product or ninety (90) days from the date of replacement or repair, whichever provides longer coverage for you. When a product or part is exchanged, any replacement item becomes your property and the replaced item becomes Cerevo ’s property. When a refund is given, the product for which the refund is provided must be returned to Cerevo and become Cerevo’s property.

Except as provided in this warranty and to the extent permitted by law, Cerevo is not responsible for direct, special, incidental or consequential damages resulting from any breach of warranty or condition, or under any other legal theory.

Hardware Precautions & Others

Do not use this product in any location that is subjected to direct sunlight, water, humidity, fire, or high temperatures. Doing so could damage the product or result in electric shock.
Please note the below points if hot swapping occurs while using a mobile battery.

  1. Just before hot swapping occurs, re-connect the LiveShell W unit and the USB cable, then deactivate the mobile battery sleep mode. The LiveShell W may be turned off if hot swapping occurs without deactivating the sleep mode.
  2. Please perform sufficient operation verification in advance before hot swapping occurs.
