Product Usage: BIOS Update

1. Go to the Gigabyte website (https://www.gigabyte.com/us/Mini-PcBarebone) and search for the model name of your product in the search bar to access the product page.
2. Go to the Support page and look for the latest BIOS file. Click Download.
3. Copy the BIOS package into the BIOS folder.
4. Power on your device and press DEL to enter the BIOS setting page. Then go to the Chipset tab and set BIOS Lock to disable (Intel platform only).
5. Go to the Save & Exit tab and set ME FW Image Re-Flash to Enable (Intel platform only).
6. Go to Boot Option #1 and choose your USB flash device accordingly.
7. Click Save Changes and Reset to save configuration and exit, then select Yes.
8. All the devices will be displayed on the screen, then type fs0 to select your USB drive.
9. Enter the BIOS folder and type flashness to start the BIOS update process.
10. After a few minutes, you will see the update progress on the screen.
11. Reboot the device, and you will find that the BIOS version has been updated accordingly.

Chapter 1 BIOS Update

UEFI Shell

• Follow these instructions to update BIOS:

1. Go to the Gigabyte website (https://www.gigabyte.com/us/Mini-PcBarebone) and key in the model name in the search bar to access the product page.
   

2. Go to “Support” page and look for the latest BIOS file. Click “Download”.
   

3. Copy BIOS Package into the BIOS folder.
   

4. Power on BRIX and press “DEL” to enter the BIOS setting page. Then go to “Chipset” tab and set “BIOS Lock” to disable. (Intel platform only)

5. Go to “Save & Exit” tab and set “ME FW Image Re-Flash” to Enable. (Intel platform only)
   

6. Go to Boot Option #1 and choose your USB Flash device accordingly.
   

7. Click “Save Changes and Reset” to save configuration and exit, then select “Yes”.
   

8. All the devices will be displayed on the screen, then type “fs0” to select your USB drive.
   

9. Enter the BIOS folder and type “flash’s” to start the BIOS update process.
   

10. After a few minutes, you will see the following screen during the update.
    

11. Reboot the device then you’ll find the BIOS version has been updated accordingly.
