GIGABYTE 4XM2G54TB Adapter Card
INTRODUCTION
GIGABYTE will reduce paper use in order to fulfill the responsibilities of a
global citizen.
Also, to reduce the impacts on global warming, the packaging materials of this
product are recyclable and reusable. GIGABYTE works with you to protect the
environment.
Before Installing or Setting up
Unfasten the six screws from the back of the adapter card with a screwdriver and then remove the backplate.
Connectors
a. M2_1/M2_2/M2_3/M2_4 (M.2 Socket 3 Connectors/M.2 Socket 3 M.2 SSD
socket/M.2 socket 3 connector/M.2 Socket 3 connector)
You can install M.2 PCIe SSDs in the connectors.
You can install M.2 PCIe SSD.
You can install M.2 PCI-E SSD to these slots.
M.2 PCIe SSD can be installed in the connector.
b. M2_LED1/23/4 (M.2 Status LEDs/M.2 Status LEDs/ The LED blinks when your
M.2 PCIe SSD is being accessed.
M.2 PCle SSD.
When accessing the M.2 PCIe SSD, the LED turns off.
c. SW3
If you want to install more than one adapter card, make sure to follow the
table below to set the address priority for each card.

Installing an M.2 SSD (Note)
Step 1:
Remove the M.2 protective films from the heatsink cover and adapter card as
indicated.
(Note) Only for GC-4XM2G5
Step 2:
Use a screw driver to unfasten the screw and standoff. Locate the proper
mounting hole for the M.2 SSD to be installed and then screw the standoff
first. Then slide it into the connector at an angle.
Step 3:
Press the M.2 SSD down and then secure it with the screw.
