Important!
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
It is essential that you read the instructions in this manual before assembling, maintaining and operating the product.

INTENDED USE

The torch is designed for illuminating distant objects and areas requiring additional light.

WARNING
Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fi re and/or serious injury.

TORCH SAFETY WARNINGS

WARNING
The product is not a toy. Always keep it out of the reach of children. Never aim the beam towards vehicles. You may distract the driver.

  • To reduce the risk of injury, close supervision is necessary when an appliance is used near children.

  • To reduce the risk of electrical shock, do not put the product or charger in water or other liquid. Do not place or store appliance where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.

  • Use only recommended battery pack. Any attempt to use another battery pack will cause damage to the product and could possibly explode, cause a fire, or personal injury.

  • Remove battery pack from the product before performing any routine maintenance or cleaning.

  • Do not place the product or battery pack near fire or heat. They may explode. Do not dispose of a worn out battery pack by incinerating. Do not incinerate the battery, even if it is severely damaged or completely worn out. The battery may explode in fire.

  • Do not operate the product or charger near flammable liquids or in gaseous or explosive atmospheres. Internal sparks may ignite fumes.

  • Do not store the product in a damp or wet location.

  • Do not store in locations where the temperature is less than 10°C or more than 38°C. Do not store in outside sheds or in vehicles.

  • Never direct the light beam at any other person or animal.

  • Do not look directly at the operating lamp.

  • Do not disassemble the product.

  • Do not permit children to use the product.

  • Do not attempt to modify this product or create accessories not recommended for use with this product. Any such alteration or modification is misuse and could result in a hazardous condition leading to possible serious personal injury.

  • Do not use the product if it is not completely assembled or if any parts appear to be missing or damaged. Use of a product that is not properly and completely assembled could result in serious personal injury.

  • Do not use the product in contact with fabrics.Keep the lens at least 1 m from all surfaces. The lens can produce sufficient heat to melt fabrics and cause serious personal injury.

  • Do not expose the product to rain. Water entering the product will increase the risk of electric shock or malfunction.

  • Remove battery pack and allow the lens to cool before storing or cleaning the product.

  • Keep the product dry, clean and free from oil and grease. Always use a clean cloth when cleaning.

  • Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. Proper footing and balance enable better control of the product in unexpected situations. Do not
    use on a ladder or unstable support.

  • Store the product out of the reach of children and other untrained persons. The product is dangerous in the hands of untrained users.

  • Do not use or permit use of the product in bed or sleeping bags. The lens can melt fabric and a burn injury could result.

  • Save these instructions. Refer to them frequently and use them to instruct others who may use this tool. If you loan someone this tool, loan them these instructions also to prevent misuse of the product and possible injury.

  • The light source of this luminaire is not replaceable; when the light source reaches its end of life the whole luminaire shall be replaced.

TRANSPORTING LITHIUM BATTERIES
Transport the battery in accordance with local and national provisions and regulations.
Follow all special requirements on packaging and labelling when transporting batteries by a third party. Ensure that no batteries can come in contact with other batteries or conductive materials while in transport by protecting exposed connectors with insulating, non-conductive caps or tape. Do not transport batteries that are cracked or leaking. Check with the forwarding company for further advice.

BATTERY SAFETY WARNINGS

  • Risk of electric shock. Do not touch uninsulated portion of output connector or uninsulated battery terminal.
  • Do not crush, drop or damage battery pack. Do not use a battery pack or charger that has been dropped or received a sharp blow. A damaged battery is subject to explosion. Properly dispose of a dropped or damaged battery immediately.
  • Do not charge product battery in a damp or wet location. Following this rule will reduce the risk of electric shock.
  • For best results, your battery should be charged in a location where the temperature is more than 10°C but less than 38°C. Do not store outside or in vehicles.
  • Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.
  • Do not incinerate the battery even if it is severely damaged. The batteries can explode in a fire.

MAINTENANCE

  • When servicing, use only original Ryobi replacement parts. Use of any other parts may create a hazard or cause product damage.
  • Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use. Use clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
  • Do not attempt to modify the product or create accessories not recommended for use with the product by the manufacturer.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

**** Recycle raw materials instead of disposing of as waste. The machine, accessories and packaging should be sorted for environmental-friendly recycling.

RYOBI® WARRANTY APPLICATION CONDITIONS
In addition to any statutory rights resulting from the purchase, this product is covered by a warranty as stated below.

  1. The warranty period is 24 months for consumers and commences on the date the product was purchased. This date has to be documented by an invoice or other proof of purchase. The product is designed and dedicated to consumer and private use only . So there is no warranty provided in case of professional or commercial use. This warranty applies only on new products.

  2. There is a possibility to extend for a part of the range of power tools (AC/DC) the warranty period over the period described above using the registration on the www.ryobitools.eu website. The eligibility of products for extended warranty is clearly displayed in stores and / or on packaging and is contained within the product documentation. The end user is required to register his/her newly-acquired products online within 30 days from the date of purchase. The end user may register for the extended warranty in his/her country of residence if listed on the online registration form where this option is valid. Furthermore, end users must give their consent to the storage of their personal data that is required to be entered online. They must also accept the terms and conditions. The registration confirmation receipt, which is sent out by e-mail, and the original invoice showing the date of purchase will serve as proof of the extended warranty.

  3. The warranty covers all defects of the product during the warranty period due to faults in workmanship or material at the purchase date. The warranty is limited to repair and/or replacement and does not include any other obligations including but not limited to incidental or consequential damages. The warranty is not valid if the product has been misused, used contrary to the instruction manual, or has been incorrectly connected to a power supply. This warranty does not apply to: – any damage to the product that is the result of improper or lack of maintenance – any product that has been altered or modified – any product where original identification (trade mark, serial number) markings have been defaced, altered or removed
    – any damage caused by non-observance of the instruction manual
    – any product not displaying the CE approval mark on the rating plate
    – any product that has been attempted to be repaired by a non-authorised warranty service centre or without prior authorisation by Techtronic Industries
    – any product connected to improper power supply (amps, voltage, frequency)
    – any damage caused by external influences (water, chemical, physical, shocks) or foreign substances
    – normal wear and tear spare parts
    – inappropriate use, overloading of the tool
    – use of non-approved accessories or parts
    – Power tool accessories provided with the tool or purchased separately, including but not limited to screw driver bits, drill bits, abrasive discs, sand paper and blades, lateral guide, etc.
    – Components (parts and accessories) subject to natural wear and tear, including but not limited to service & maintenance kits, carbon brushes, bearings, chuck, SDS drill bit attachment or reception, power cord, auxiliary handle, transport carry case, sanding plate, dust bag, dust exhaust tube, felt washers, impact wrench pins & springs, etc.

  4. For servicing, the product must be sent or presented to a ROBI authorised service station listed for each country in the following list of service station addresses. In some countries your local RYOBI dealer undertakes to send the product to the R YOBI service organisation. When sending a product to a RYOBI service station, the product should be safely packed without any dangerous contents such as petrol, marked with sender’s address and accompanied by a short description of the fault.

  5. A repair / replacement under this warranty is free of charge. It does not constitute an extension or a new start of the warranty period. Exchanged parts or products become our property. In some countries delivery charges or postage will have to be paid by the sender. Your statutory rights arising from the purchase of the product remain unaffected

  6. This warranty is valid in the European Community, Switzerland, Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, Turkey and Russia. Outside these areas, please contact your authorised RYOBI dealer to determine if another warranty applies.
