The HT-EMN3 offers four possible methods for AutoSync:
The Hitron HT-EMN3 offers the ability to extend your home wireless network through three possible media: Ethernet, MoCA or Wi-Fi.

Choose from the 4 following methods for AutoSync:

  • Method A: Ethernet setup
  • Method B : MoCA setup (coaxial cable)
  • Method C: Wi-Fi to Wi-Fi setup via Ethernet cable
  • Method D: Wi-Fi to Wi-Fi setup via WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup)

Method A: Connect the HT-EMN3 with an Ethernet Cable

Use the Ethernet cable provided to connect the LAN port to one of the LAN ports on the Hitron Gateway. (CODA Gateway pictured)

Method B: Connect the HT-EMN3 to a Cable Outlet (MoCA)

Use a coaxial cable (not included) to connect your HT-EMN3 CABLE connector to a coaxial outlet. The coaxial outlet and your gateway must be on the same coaxial network.

Method C: Wi-Fi to Wi-Fi Setup via Ethernet Cable

Use the Ethernet cable provided to connect the LAN port to one of the LAN ports on the Hitron Gateway. (CODA Gateway pictured)

Method D: Wi-Fi to Wi-Fi Setup via WPS

Log in to the gateway web page and turn on WPS. Press the WPS button on the Gateway, then press the WPS button on the back of the HT-EMN3. Wait for the AutoSync process to complete.

How to Best Place your HT-EMN3

Place the HT-EMN3 in an area where your existing gateway does not provide good Wi-Fi coverage. If using MoCA or Ethernet, the device must be on the same coax or Ethernet network as the gateway to work properly. If using Wi-Fi to Wi-Fi, the device must be placed where it receives a strong Wi-Fi signal from the gateway to avoid performance degradation. Look at the WPS LED indicator to witness wireless signal strength.

  1. MoCA or Ethernet
    • Place in an area where your existing gateway does not provide good Wi-Fi coverage.
    • Must be on the same coax or Ethernet network as the gateway to work properly.
  2. WiFi to WiFi
    • The HT-EMN3 must be placed where it receives a strong Wi-Fi signal from the gateway. If not, performance will degrade.
    • Look at the WPS LED indicator to witness wireless signal strength (see below notes).

Step 6: Confirming WiFi to WiFi Setup

  1. HT-EMN3 steady WPS LED confirms WiFi to WiFi is active.
  2. The color LED indicates the strength of the wireless signal.
