ASSEMBLY

When not using manually (OE2), and prior to airline connection (if used), ensure the airline pressure is correctly set. Ensure the air control valve is fully closed before connecting to the air supply. Select the most suitable nozzle for the job in hand and insert into the pickup hose.

OPERATION AND USE

Before use ensure vehicle is suitable for use with vacuum extraction. If in doubt – refer to the manufacturers or Haynes workshop manuals.
When using manually (OE2 only), pump handle up and down to create suction vacuum. Open the air control valve to begin extracting the fluid. Close the air control valve to stop extracting the fluid. The fluid extractor can be used to drain brake fluid, waste oil from the sump (down the dipstick tube) and other automotive applications including the pick up of non-corrosive spillages.
NOTE: Do not allow waste fluid types to mix in the reservoir. Dispose of waste fluids in accordance with the relevant local environmental health & safety guidelines. To empty the reservoir, disconnect from the air supply, remove the reservoir cap and pour into a suitable storage/transport container.
WARNING: Used engine oil is carcinogenic – wear protective gloves.

GETTING TO KNOW YOUR PNEUMATIC FLUID EXTRACTOR

  1. Pick-up hose.
  2. Exhaust.
  3. Air inlet.
  4. Air control valve.
  5. Reservoir cap.
  6. Manual pump handle (OE2 only).

UNPACKING

After removing the packing material, make sure the product is in perfect condition and that there are no visible damaged parts. If in doubt, do not use the product and contact the dealer from whom it was purchased.
The packaging materials (plastic bags, polystyrene, etc.), must be disposed of in an appropriate refuse collection container. These materials must not be left within the reach of children as they are potential sources of danger.
