WatchGuard BS4AE5P Tabletop Firewall Appliances
Product Information
The WatchGuard Firebox T45-W-PoE is a network security appliance that allows for fast and secure connectivity to the internet and other networks. It comes with Power over Ethernet (PoE) capabilities and is available in two hardware models: BS4AE5P and BS4AE5PW.
The Firebox T45-W-PoE conforms to various EU directives and standards such as Low Voltage (2014/35/EU), Electromagnetic Compatibility (2014/30/EU), RoHS (2011/65/EU), WEEE Directive 2012/19/EU, REACH EC 1907/2006, The Radio Equipment Directive (2014/53/EU), and various common standards related to safety, emissions, immunity, and telecommunication network equipment.
Product Usage Instructions
- Activate Your Firebox
- Go to www.watchguard.com/activate
- Log in to your WatchGuard account, or create a new account. If you create a new account, return to www.watchguard.com/activate after you finish the account creation process.
- Connect Your Firebox and Power It On
- Make sure your computer is configured to use DHCP.
- When you connect to the Firebox, it will assign an IP address on the 10.0.1.0/24 network.
- Connect to the Web UI
- Go to https://10.0.1.1:8080
- You can safely ignore certificate warnings, because the Firebox uses a self-signed certificate.
- Log in with the user name admin and the passphrase readwrite.
- Follow the directions in the Web Setup Wizard to configure your Firebox.
- Install the Firebox in your network.

This device is a 5GHz wideband transmission system (transceiver), intended for
use in all EU member states and EFTA countries, except in France and Italy
where restrictive use applies.
In Italy the end-user should apply for a license at the national spectrum
authorities in order to obtain authorization to use the device for
setting up outdoor radio links and/or for supplying public access to
telecommunications and/or network services.
This device may not be used for setting up outdoor radio links in France and
in some areas the RF output power may be limited to 10 mW EIRP in the
frequency range of 2454 – 2483.5 MHz. For detailed information the end-user
should contact the national spectrum authority in France.
RoHS Statement
The member states of the European Union approved directive 2002/95/EC,
Restrictions of Hazardous Substances (“RoHS directive”‘) that became valid on
July 1, 2006. It states that all new electrical and electronic equipment put
on the market within the member states must not contain certain hazardous

2002/95/EC and similar regulations that may be adopted by other countries for
