MB200 Series Quick Start Guide V3.0
The MB200 stands for MB200C or MB200i.
User Guide
Usage (1)- Reading and transmitting data on-line by Bluetooth connection
To transmit the scanned barcode data per scanning to a Bluetooth connected
host device (e.g. a laptop, computer, mobile PDA, phone,…etc. ).
Bluetooth Profile: In this application, the MB200 has to be set as “HID”
profile.
Step 1: Power on the MB200, it is default set as HID Profile.
If you are not affirmed, you can read “HID” setting.
Step 2: You have to enable the Bluetooth function (Set it “ON”) in your
host device, and it will search all Bluetooth devices available for
connection. Please select the “Wireless Scanner – XXXXXX” (= MB200), following
your host device will try to pair up the selected scanner MB200.
Step 3: Once MB200 is paired up with your host device, its LED indicator
will light BLUE and you will hear 3 up-tone beeps. Now, the Bluetooth
connection is done.
Notice:
- Prior to scan barcode data, please run an HID-input application in your host device (e.g. Notepad, MS word, or any application which can receive data input from Keyboard. ) to receive the scanned barcode data sent from MB200.
- If the Bluetooth connection is broken, in most case the host device and MB200 themselves will rebuild the connection automatically while both are in the Bluetooth radio range. Or you may try to scan “BT Pairing” to rebuild the Bluetooth connection.
Usage (2)- To store the reading data in the MB200, don’t transmit.
This is OFF-Line working, you have to set Bluetooth OFF and the [Store Mode]
as ‘Store’, the scanned barcode data will be stored in MB200.
Step 1: After power on the MB200, read “Step 1” to ensure the MB200 is set
“Bluetooth OFF”
Following the “Step 2 to Step 4”, to set the [Store Mode] as ‘Store’ only by scan.
Now your MB200 is set as OFF-Line working status, the barcode data read will
be stored in the MB200 and will not transmit.
NOW, YOU CAN START YOUR WORK !
(2.1) To Synchronize the stored data in MB200 with your Host Device
Later, you may want to transmit the batch stored data to your Mobile Phone or
PC device.
Prior to do so, you have to download and install the data synchronization APP
(for Mobile) or synchronization application (for PC) in your host device.
Step 1 : please download the “MB200_MB300_Product_Support_Library” includes
Android APP or PC Application (for data synchronization) at below FTP Site,

In the downloaded product support library,
01_PC_App_Pocket Scanner, the PC data synchronization application and VCOM
driver.
02_Android_App_Pocket Scanner, the mobile data synchronization APP.
03_User Manual, you can refer to the “Wireless Pocket Scanner User’s
Manual(V1.22)” chapter 3.5 ~ describing the operation of data synchronization
APP (the PC application is the same).
Step 2: Prior to do the data synchronization, you have to set MB200 as
Bluetooth “SPP” profile; please read the “SPP” profile setting.
Step 3: Set up the Synchronization connection and operation
(1) Synchronize with a Mobile Phone / PAD
1.1 Be ensured the Bluetooth connection is alive and MB200 set as “SPP”
profile
1.2 Please install the mobile data synchronization APP in your host device
1.3 Set up the connection, refer to ““Wireless Pocket Scanner User’s
Manual(V1.22)”
(2) Synchronize with a PC
By wireless Bluetooth connection
1.1 Be ensured the Bluetooth connection is alive and MB200 set as “SPP”
profile
1.2 Please install the PC data synchronization application in your PC
1.3 Set up the connection, refer to ““Wireless Pocket Scanner User’s
Manual(V1.22)”
By wired connection with a Micro-USB Interface Cable
Note: connect your MB200 and PC by a Micro-USB interface cable.
1.1 Install the Virtual COM driver, refer to “Set Virtual COM for Pocket
Scanners.doc” in the product support library/01_PC_App_Pocket Scanner
1.2 Please install the PC data synchronization application in your PC
1.3 Set up the connection, refer to ““Wireless Pocket Scanner User’s
Manual(V1.22)”
(2.2) To CLEAN Stored data
After the batch stored data are fully transmitted, you can consider to clean
stored data in MB200 by following steps.
Notice:
After scan “Reset Memory“ configuraiton barcodes, the LED indicator showing
white light, in process of cleannig barcode data
