User statement
Thank you very much for choosing Histone self-checkout POS terminal. Before installing and using the product, please read this manual in detail to have an deep understanding of its performance. Please keep this manual for reference in future if you encounter problems.
In order to improve the products, we will use new technology, new components
and new software as far as possible. Therefore, the company has the right to
change without notice. The features, functions and operations which are
described by this manual may be different from the machines which are sold all
over the world, in some cases, the picture is just a prototype machine, before
using this manual, you shall ask the company or dealers for the applicable
information.
The equipment must be installed by after-sales service staff or distributors.
The company shall not be liable for any consequences arising from the
alteration or replacement of the equipment and cables without authorization.
- Being in using process we must use three-hole socket (or UPS power supply) which accord with CE \FCC or other local security certification, ground wire must be connected correctly, the supply voltage must be stable, confirm the socket provides the voltage to correspond to voltages of the machine.
- The power supply of the machine must be put properly, it cannot be placed where people move frequently.
- It is forbidden to insert any cable in lightning weather.
- Do not sprinkle any liquid or drop into any object.
- Do not press the screen, shake violently or force the self-checkout POS terminal to prevent damage to the machine or people.
- Do not switch the power supply frequently, which can easily damage the machine.
- Do not unplug any live parts or peripherals of the machine under the working state; make sure the wire cables between different parts of the machine are fasten firmly.
- The self-checkout POS terminal is equipped with 80mm thermal printer, and the user shall prepare the thermal printer paper by themselves.
- Do not extend cables or replace parts by yourself, please contact Histone or agents if there is any special requirement.
- The machine should work in a dry, ventilated, clean, without sunlit environment.
- If you accidentally spill the liquid or drop into the sundries, please immediately turn off the machine and disconnect the power, dry the liquid or remove the sundries.
- If there is a safety failure, such as peculiar smell, abnormal sound, leakage of electricity, etc., disconnect the power supply immediately and contact the after-sales service or agent of our company.
- If the equipment is moved from the high temperature environment to the low temperature environment, it is easy to have condensation, so the machine must be put in the normal environment for at least 2 hours after it is moved from the high temperature environment.
- when inserting external U disk or other disks, kill virus firstly to avoid the host being infected by virus which can lead to the damage to customers.
- When the machine is not in use, the machine should be turned off and cut off power, cover the dust cover, and properly keep the machine key.
- When the machine is used for a long time or full of dust, please wipe the stainless steel surface with alcohol to remove the dirt.
- The manufacturer has the right to modify the contents of the manual without prior statement!

Overview
Histone HS710 Self ‐ Checkout terminals, provide a full self‐service one‐stop shopping overall solution,It relieves the cashier from heavy traditional cash registers, improves customer shopping experience, and improves retailer operational efficiency.
Hardware, Integrated structural design can allows customers to scan, bagging and payment through bank cards and other electronic means to complete the payment by themselves. Highly integrated module design make the detection and maintenance of the module to be more convenient.
Software, user‐friendly interface, vivid guide animation, sound and text to guide customers a better customer experience, regardless of customer operations or the background administrator, they do not need professional training, can be used flexibly after watching video or read the manual . It supports membership cards and a variety of promotional methods, support for credit cards, stored value cards, shopping cards and cash and many other payment methods. It has a unique weighing loss prevention, by checking the weight of goods to verify whether the goods are scanned correctly, self‐built weight database and weight automatic learning function to ensure the safety of the self‐service cash register system.

Check and installation
Open the box and check.
- Before opening the box, check whether the wooden case is in good condition, and whether there is any obvious damage. If so, please contact the logistics or dealer in time to solve the problem；
- With tools such as screwdriver to open the wooden box, there are 4 foot cup in the base of HS710 self-checkout which are used as fixed plate to fix the machine to the wooden pallets before transportation. We must remove the fixed plate before moving the machine；
- Lift the machine off the wooden pallet, pay attention to the machine to avoid bumping and personal safety；
- Check the attachments including: 4 keys, 8 screws, 1 printer paper shaft, 1 warning light, 1 shopping basket carrier；
- Check whether the cabinet has obvious scratches, pits or other loss of appearance；
- When you need to move the device after checking, You need to raise the 4- foot cup at the bottom of the device so that 4 universal wheels can land, and then push the device to the desired location
System installation
The equipment must be installed by technical service personnel or
distributors.
- Requires external power supply has a good grounding, grounding resistance is less than 0.1 Ω, if there is no grounding or bad power supply. This will make the shell of the machine charged which will bring a safety hazard to operators and affect the stable operation of the self-checkout terminals.
- The equipment is required to be placed where there has a power socket, network socket or wireless network.
- Install the machine to the specified location.
- Install warning light: open the front door lock with the key, insert the terminal and connecting line from the hole of the warning light to the machine, and then connect the terminal to the control board of the warning light, and screw the four screws.
