Applications
These stylish, compact column speakers utilise multiple 3.5” (89mm) woofers and high power dome tweeters to produce superb clarity for both music and speech applications. Ideally suited for use in places of worship, lecture theatres, auditoriums, gymnasiums and school assembly areas. Their IP66 weatherproof construction makes them also suitable for installations in exposed areas, such as train platforms & pedestrian precincts. These Redback column speakers will provide excellent all-round performance while remaining architecturally unobtrusive.
Installation
The sound columns include a high grade multitap transformer allowing several power taps plus a low impedance setting. These are selected by connecting the multi-core cabling to the appropriate colour for the desired wattage.
C 0951A: red: common, white: 20W, blue: 10W, yellow: 5W, green: positive 8 Ohm, brown: negative 8 Ohm.
C 0957A: red: common, white: 40W, blue: 20W, yellow: 10W, green: positive 8 Ohm, brown: negative 8 Ohm
A heavy duty, diecast aluminium mounting bracket is included. This allows both horizontal and vertical adjustment, ensuring sound is directed where needed.

Each custom designed speaker and transformer combination has been specifically engineered to ensure a wide frequency range and dispersion angle, plus a high sound pressure level (SPL) ensuring excellent music and speech intelligibility; which is highly desirable for emergency paging applications.
Testing
Redback® drivers are subject to strenuous factory testing reducing the risk of unit failure or performance reduction over time. Each driver has a power rating well above the max tapping of the transformer, ensuring reliable operation and excellent longevity
