Overview
Installing an Insulating Pad (PN 43294) on a module prevents short circuits in voice messaging systems that use 16-point or 32-point annunciators (ACM-16AT, ACM-32A, and their expanders). Install an Insulating Pad on one of these annunciators installed in front of an audio amplifier (AA-30) mounted on a Dress Panel Single Well (DPSW-1/1B). The following instructions show how to install an Insulating Pad on a module and where to mount the module on the DPSW-1/1B (PN 18352).
Installing an Insulating Pad
Install an Insulating Pad on the back of a 16-point or 32-point annunciator as follows:
- Remove the three mounting screws on the back of the module.
- Place the Insulating Pad on the back of the module.
- Insert the mounting screws and tighten until secure.
Mounting a Module with an Insulating Pad
Mount a 16-point or 32-point annunciator with an Insulating Pad onto the
DPSW-1/1B in the outside position as shown in the following illustration.
Modules mounted in the other position do not need an insulating pad.
