MEDI-RENT Bio Compression BioPants for Legs User Guide
INSTRUCTION
Place the device somewhere easily accessible.
Wear lightweight long pants under the Bio Compression leg garments.
Plug your power lead in, ensuring that it is not a trip hazard. (Often you
will need to visit the bathroom during treatment due to fluid evacuation)
Connect cuff hose to the device, ensuring the numbers and indicators match.
Find the position where you will be rested during treatment on a bed or couch
where your legs are elevated and supported.
Place your leg into the sleeve by unzipping it part-way.
First Time Users unless otherwise advised by your health professional,
starting pressure is set at a default of 50mmHg.
If you need to adjust settings, see overleaf.
Press “Power On/Off” button to turn on. The settings will appear on the LED
display and the pump will start.
At the end of a timed treatment, your pump will turn off. To turn off the pump
during a treatment, press the “Power On/Off” button – “Hold” will show in the
LED and then the pump will turn off.
Whilst the compression pump is running please read the ‘Settings Navigation
Guide.’
Allow the device run for at least 10 minutes after any setting change you make for the full effect to be felt.
To adjust PRESSURE whilst the pump is running:
Press and hold the up arrow until you see “HOLD” on display.
The pump will return to resting position and the current pressure setting will be on display.
Use the up/down arrows to adjust.
Press the SET button to save your changes and recommence treatment.
To adjust SETTINGS: Begin with the pump plugged in but turned off.
Press and hold “SET” for 5 seconds (until LED indicators flash) “SETUP” will appear on display.
With PRESSURE LED lit – use up/down arrows to adjust. Press “SET”.
With TREATMENT TIME LED lit – use up/down arrows to adjust Press “SET”.
With FOCUS LED lit – use up/down arrows to adjust. Press “SET”.
The pump will turn off.
Press the power button to turn the device on and commence treatment.
Refer to the Owner Manual for more information on settings.
If you wish to clean the garment at any time, simply use warm soapy water or
Clinell wipes. These specific cleaning wipes can be purchased from Medi-Rent
and do not contain alcohol like many other sanitising wipes which can damage
the garments.

- Be advised by your Health Professional on setting selection, pressure and duration.
- Always check your body for any pressure areas after treatment. If using the pump for prolonged periods adhere to pressure area prevention techniques such as changing position regularly and sitting/lying on a supportive surface.
CONTRAINDICATIONS FOR USING A COMPRESSION PUMP
- Known or suspected deep vein thrombosis
- Active metastatic disease affecting oedematous region
- Pulmonary embolism
- Thrombophlebitis
- Cellulitis or other infection not treated with antibiotics
- Uncontrolled/severe cardiac failure
- Pulmonary oedema
