Owner’s manual SaFEty PrEcautionS

Please read this instruction manual carefully before first use and keep it for future reference.

  • Store small parts out of the reach of children – risk of suffocation!
  • Never leave the device unattended during battery charging.
  • Never dispose of battery into a fire.
  • Follow basic safety rules while operating the drone.
  • Keep all body parts away from the copter while the rotor blades are spinning.
  • Never try to repair this device yourself. In case of damage, contact with an authorized service point for check-up/repair.
  • When the device is no longer in use, switch it off, then turn off the controller. If the device is not going to be used for a longer period of time, remove batteries.
  • Do not put the battery in high temperature or near heat sources.
  • Note, to avoid injury or damage, the device should not be flown at shorter distance than 2 meters / 7 feet from people or other obstacles.
  • Do not operate the product near power lines.
  • Not suitable for persons under 14 years old. The users under 18 years of age can operate the product under adult supervision only.
  • Use only the original accessories.
  • Don’t over-charge the battery.
  • The control distance will be reduced if the drone or transmitter is not fully charged.
  • Do not touch the motors during or after flights, as it may become hot. NEVER touch the blades when they are in motion. DO NOT insert any objects into the casing!
  • Charge the drone away from flammable materials.
  • If replacement blades are to be attached to the drone, care must be given to make sure they are put on the correct way round.
  • The drone is equipped with over-current protection: when the copter blades are jammed, to prevent damage, the control system will stop electrical supply to rotors.
  • IMPORTANT: Product warranty does not cover elements which are subjects to natural wear out during use!

Power Supply

the controller 2 x 1,5 V AA batteries (not included) to install batteries:

  1. Use the screwdriver to open the cover of battery case.
  2. Insert 2 x 1,5 V AA batteries, according to indicated polarity.
  3. Close the battery cover and fasten the screw.

note:

  • Use alkaline batteries.
  • Do not mix old and new batteries.
  • Do not mix different types of batteries.
  • Do not insert damaged batteries or ones with signs of leakage as it may damage the drone.
  • Replace the batteries when the remote range is shortened or the drone is not responding to remote’s commands.
  • Remove the batteries if the device is not going to be used for a longer
    period of time.

The Drone

The drone is equipped with a Li-poly rechargeable battery.

  1. Insert one side of the USB connector into the drone.
  2. Insert the other side of the USB cable into a compatible computer USB port.
  3. The red light on the USB charging cable will be on when charging. The light will be off when charging is completed.
  4. Disconnect the charging cable from PC and the drone once the charging is complete. When you disconnect charging cable from the drone, grasp and gently pull the plug, not the cord/cable. Do not overcharge the drone.

notes:

  • pay attention to connect the charging plug correctly into the drone.
  • let the drone cool down after flying, before connecting it for charging.
  • connect the drone only to compatible USB port for charging. Don’t use AC adapters.
  • Do not let the battery go completely out of charge. Charge the device at least once every month to keep its battery in good condition, even if not used.
  • Estimated charging time: around 50 minutes.
  • Above charging time is only an estimated value and may vary due to various miscellaneous reasons.
  • Discontinue using and contact an authorized service point for checkup or replacement if you notice any abnormalities of the battery (e.g. leakage, expansion etc.).

Operating steps

  1. Turn on the drone.
  2. Put the left stick down, and turn on the remote control.
  3. To pair the remote with the drone, push the left stick up and then back down. A beep will sound, which means the drone has been successfully paired. The device is ready to fly.
  4. Turn the drone and the remote control off after flying.

Flight control

Place the drone on a flat, horizontal surface. Make sure the drone’s light En is facing away from you. Make sure the drone and you are both facing the
same direction.

Push the left stick up to ascend the drone.
Pull the left stick down to descend.

Push the left stick left to spin left. Push the left stick right to spin right.

Push the right stick up to fly forward. Pull the right stick down to fly backwards.

Push the right stick left to fly leftwards. Push the right stick right to fly rightwards.

Speed control

When you first power on your drone, it will automatically be in first speed mode. Note, when learning how to fly, it is recommended to use the lowest speed mode.

Press the left stick to change the speed. The remote will issue a sound to signify which speed gear has been chosen (one beep for speed 1, two beeps for speed 2 and three beeps for speed 3).

Radical Flips & Rolls

Before performing flips and rolls, make sure the drone is in safe distance (at least 3 meters away from the ground, ceiling or any obstacle)! You can perform flip with your drone in any of the speed settings.

  1. Press the right stick once to activate the flips and rolls function. The remote control will issue a beep sound.
  2. Push the right stick to perform a flip in a chosen direction.
  3. After a flip, the drone will reset back to normal operation status. To perform another flip, go through the steps above again.

Headless function

Press the headless mode button on the remote control till beep sound, you will get into compass mode flying. To quit from compass mode, just press the same button till beep sound. Once the headless function has been enabled, no matter how you rotate the drone, the direction to which the user is currently facing when the headless mode was initialized will be always the heading/forwarding direction for aircraft (front of the drone will be defendant on the remote control). In this way, users don’t have to always keep watching on the aircraft to classify which side is front or which side is back. one key back home function Once the one key back home function is enabled, the drone flies back to the spot where the remote control was (when the function was enabled).
1. Press the One key back home button, the drone starts to fly back in the direction towards the spot where the remote control was when the function was enabled.
2. Press the One key back home button again OR right stick forward/ 18

Note:

  • the drone flies back in the direction of the spot where the remote
    control was when the function was enabled. If you don’t stop it at the desired point, the device will not stop flying at the certain spot and will fly further in that direction.

  • the device does NOT have an auto land function. In order to land the drone, control the device manually.

Trimming

When your drone oversteers in any direction, perform a manual trimming:
If the drone banks to the left, repeatedly press the right trimming button
If the drone banks to the right, repeatedly press the left trimming button
If the drone banks backwards, repeatedly press the forward trimming button
If the drone banks forwards, repeatedly press the backwards trimming button

trimming resetting

If you want to reset the drone back to its factory trim settings, press and hold trim left button. If you hear a short beep sound and finally a long beep sound, release the button. This button will be set back to its original settings. If you hear the short beep sound all the time and then stops without a long beep sound, you need to press the opposite button (trim right button), till you hear the long beep sound. Perform the same trim resetting with remaining 3 buttons.

Auto trim function

User can perform this function to automatically calibrate the drone.

  1. Push the left and right sticks simultaneously to 45 degree down and right (as indicated in the illustration) until the light on the PC board of the drone will be flashing.
  2. When the lights no longer flash and are constantly on, release the left and right sticks. The auto trim has been successful.

Note: perform the auto trim function after pairing with the remote.

Replacing damaged blades

Your set will come with 4 replacement rotors, two (A) type and two (B) type. You will see the “A” and “B” letter on the canopy, put the rotor on the motor accordingly.

CLEANING AND Maintenance

  1. Clean the device with clean, dry soft cloth.
  2. Keep the drone dry and away from water.
  3. Do not use this device when it is raining.
  4. Before and after every flight check and clean the drone. Remove any dirt or any debris found on the drone or its blades to ensure proper operation.
  5. Regularly check the drone and its accessories for damage. If a damage is found do not use the device until it is repaired.
