USAGE

Exit filters are only used in combination with filter fans for cooling in stationary, closed electric cabinets of protection class I. The device is suitable for indoor use only.

Safety considerations

  • Installation must only be performed by qualified electrical technicians in observation of the respective national power-supply guidelines. (IEC 60334)
  • The safety measures according to VDE 100 are to be ensured.
  • The technical specifications on the type plate must be strictly observed!
  • Notice: A heavily soiled filter mat results in reduction in cooling performance!

Installation guidelines

The enclosure cut-out is to be made in the roof sheet in accordance with the included template. The surface to be bonded around the cut-out must be free of dirt, grease and silicone residues. The roof filter fan, which is provided with a self-adhesive sealing band, is pressed into the roof cut-out. The protective film is to be removed from the sealing band prior to installation.
If necessary, the fan mounting can be additionally secured to the roof sheet with screws. The fastening screws are included in the delivery.

Function

The cooling function is ensured only in combination with an air inlet filter.
The air direction is from the inside to the outside.

Maintenance

The degree of soiling of the filter mat must be monitored. If necessary, the filter mat is to be replaced, or it can be cleaned by blowing or shaking out. For this purpose, the hood is removed and the filter mat, which is secured with a hook-and-loop fastener, is taken out (see illustration). When installing the filter mat, ensure the correct orientation: smooth side down.

Accessories

  • Inlet filter
  • Replacement filter mats
