Electronic products :

This lightning flash with arrowhead symbol within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of non-insulated “dangerous voltage” within the  product’s enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock.
Warning: To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not remove cover (or back) as there are no user-serviceable parts inside. Refer servicing to qualified personnel.
The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of important operating and maintenance instructions in the literature accompanying the appliance.
Do not use this apparatus near water.
Clean only with dry cloth.
Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heaters, stoves, or other apparatus [including amplifiers] that produce heat.
Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding plug has two blades  and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong is provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for  replacement of the obsolete outlet.
Protect the power cord from being stepped on or pinched, particularly at the plugs, convenience receptacles, and at the point where they exit from the apparatus.
Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
CAUTION: These servicing instructions are for use by qualified service personnel only. To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not perform any servicing other than that  contained in the operating instructions unless you are qualified to do so.
Do not install electronic equipment in a confined or built-in space such as a bookcase or similar unit and keep well ventilated in open space. The ventilation should not be  impeded by covering the ventilation openings with items such as newspaper, tablecloths, curtains etc.
WARNING: Only use attachments/accessories specified or provided by the manufacturer [such as the
exclusive supply adapter, battery etc.).
WARNING: Please refer to the information on the exterior panel of the enclosure for electrical and safety information before installing or operating the apparatus.
WARNING: No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the apparatus.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this product to rain or moisture. The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and that  objects filled with liquids, such as vases shall not be placed on apparatus.
WARNING: For the terminals marked with symbol of “ ” may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock. The external wiring connected to the  terminals requires installation by an instructed person or the used of ready-made leads or cords.
ETS-Lindgren 8000-040 RF Power Amplifier - icon 6 Protective earthing terminal. The apparatus should be connected to a mains socket outlet with a protective earthing connection. The product is designed to use in moderate / tropical climates.

Loudspeakers :

ACCESSORIES – Only use accessories which are designed for professional use or recommended by the manufacturer. If a cart, rack or tripod stand etc. is used in  conjunction with this product, care must be taken to avoid tip- over or fall risk.
POWER ON WORKFLOW – To avoid damage to drivers and other equipment, it is advise bleb to establish and follow a workflow for powering up and powering down a  sound system. With all system components connected, turn on source equipment (mixers, signal processors, recording and playback units, etc.) BEFORE powering up  amplifiers. Transient voltages from powering up source equipment can damage speakers if amplifiers are already turned on. Make sure that amplifier volumes are set to their  minimum settings and power up any system amplifiers LAST. It is recommended that all system components be allowed to stabilize for several seconds before any source  signals are introduced or level setting adjustments are made. Similarly, when shutting systems down, turn all amplifiers off first, before powering down any other system components.
CABLING – Do not use shielded or microphone cables for connection between amplifiers and speakers. Use only approved speaker cables with proper connectors. Do not  defeat any grounding-type (Earthed) plugs on electronic products.
CAUTION – Professional loudspeaker systems can generate very high sound pressure levels. Use care with placement and operation to avoid exposure to excessive volume  levels. Permanent hearing damage can result when operated to extreme levels.
RIGGING – SUSPENDING – MOUNTING – Rigging suspending or mounting of speaker systems can expose members of the public to serious health risks and even death.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES ATTEMPT TO RIG, SUSPEND OR OTHERWISE MOUNT LOUDSPEAKERS UNLESS YOU ARE FULLY QUALIFIED AND  CERTIFIED TO DO SO BY RELEVANT LOCAL, STATE AND NATIONAL AUTHORITIES. ALL RELEVANT SAFETY REGULATIONS MUST BE  OLLOWED. IF YOU ARE NOT PROPERLY QUALIFIED OR DO NOT KNOW OF PERTINENT REGULATIONS, CONSULT QUALIFIED PERSONNEL FOR ADVICE.
Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid  has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
Correct disposal of this product. This marking indicates that this product should not be disposed with other household wastes throughout the EU. To prevent possible harm  to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources. To return your used  device, please use the return and collection systems or contact the retailer where the product was purchased. They can take this product for environmentally safe recycling.

  2. Before making any connections, switch all the units in your system off at the mains.
  3. Set the volume control at minimum when you switch on your system or change sources and turn the level up gradually.
  4. Ensure that all devices in the system are correctly wired.
  5. DO NOT use your equipment at full volume.
  6. DO NOT subject this system to excessive cold, heat, humidity, or sunlight.
  7. DO NOT place heavy objects on top of loudspeakers.
  8. DO NOT dismantle the loudspeaker. There are no user serviceable parts inside and you will void the warranty by doing so.

  27. Use the POWER SWITCH to turn on and off the IS-48. Remember, IS-48 should be the last product to turn on in your system and the first to be turned off.
  28. FUSE HOLDER and MAIN POWER CONNECTOR. Make sure that your local voltage matches the voltage indicated on the IS-48 before you connect. Blown fuses may only be replaced by fuses of the same type and rating.

Operation

Turning the speaker ON/OFF
To turn on/off the speaker, press the power switch (27)
Volume control
Use the volume control (23) to adjust the master volume of the unit.
Line Volume controls
Use the channel volume controls (10,14,18) to adjust the volume for each channel
Bass boost Function
This unit has a built-in bass boost system, Turn the knob (22) to increase the bass to suit your taste.
Mode Settings
To switch between playback modes, press the MODE button (4) on the unit or on the remote (5). You can switch between BT/USB/SD and Line input modes.
Flashing Light
There are 3 modes for the LED lighting. Press the LIGHT button (17) to choose the light modes (mode 1, mode 2, mode 3, OFF) in cycle.
USB Operation
Press the MODE button (4) on unit or on the remote (5) until USB is shown on the screen.
Plug the USB memory stick into the USB port. Playback will start automatically from Track 1.
To pause playback, press the PLAY/PAUSE button on the unit (5) or on the remote (9). The track playing time will also flash on the display.
To resume playback, press the PLAY/PAUSE button again.
To select a desired track, press the PREVIOUS (7) or NEXT (8) buttons on the unit or on the remote (2) and (3) while playing until the desired track appears on the display.  The unit will start playback automatically. You can also select the track number by pressing the numbers directly on the remote control.

SD Card Operation
Press the MODE button (4) on the unit or on the remote (5) until SD is shown on the screen.
Plug the SD card into the SD card input. Playback will start automatically from Track 1.
To pause playback, press the PLAY/PAUSE button on the unit (5) or on the remote (9). The track playing time will also flash on the display.
To resume playback, press the PLAY/PAUSE button again.
To select a desired track, press the PREVIOUS (7) or NEXT (8) buttons on the unit or on the remote (2) and (3) while playing until the desired track appears on the display.  The unit will start playback automatically. You can also select the track number by pressing the numbers directly on the remote control.

Bluetooth Operation
Before pairing – always turn volumes down. Also make sure no one else is paired. Ask people to turn off their Bluetooth to avoid any complications.
Press the MODE button (4) on the unit or on the remote (5) until BT is shown on the screen. The blue words will twinkle on the display indicating that the speaker is ready to pair.

  1. Turn on the Bluetooth function on your device / mobile phone. Find “IS-48“ in the list of Bluetooth devices around you and connect. When successfully paired, you will  see red words on the screen and it will stop twinkling
  2. Press Play to start playback.
  3. Turn the VOLUME knob on the unit or remote or adjust the volume on the external device to increase or decrease the music volume to your desired level.
  4. To disconnect BT Press the mode button (4) to enter to other modes or to disconnect the BT connection from the device (Mobile phone)
    Note: The Bluetooth works best within 10 meters in open air.
    Next time you select the Bluetooth mode, if the device is within the indicated distance, it will connect automatically.

TWS Operation
If you have two units of IS-48, you can connect them wirelessly by using the TWS function to become a stereo pair.

  1. Connect the device to one of the units by Bluetooth function. This unit will become the Primary unit.

  2. Turn on the second unit and switch to Bluetooth mode.
    Press the button (3) on the first (Primary) unit for 3 seconds, then these two units will connect automatically with a sound indicated that the connection is made. Then  these two units will become a stereo pair. The BT sign on the screen will stop blinking to indicate that it is successfully connected.

  3. Control of play/pause, next/previous track, volume and EQ can be made on either of the units.

  4. To disconnect the TWS connection between the two units, press and hold the TWS button (3) on either unit.

Line-In & MIC Operation
Always turn the volume down before making any connection to external devices.

  1. Press the MODE button (11,15) on the unit to select Line in or the MIC input
  2. Connect your audio device to the line input (12,16,20,24,25,26)
  3. Rotate the VOLUME knob on each channel or adjust the volume on the external device to increase or decrease the volume to your desired level.

Microphone connection
The MIC function is active in all modes:

  1. Insert the mic into the mic jack (1)
  2. Use the MIC VOL knob (10,14) to control the volume of the microphone
  3. Use the EFFECT knob (6.13) to control the amount of effect applied to the microphone signal.
