Introduction
The Buddi Secure Band is a state-of-the-art, world’s smallest and lightest
precision-driven RF tag with long battery life and a robust strap packaged
into a sleek and innovative design. At only 35 grams, it is a fraction of the
weight of other devices on the market. Lightweight, accurate and waterproof,
Secure Band provides instant alerts in the events of removal, low battery
levels, and absence of the wearer from the place of curfew.
The Secure Wristband is extremely easy to fit, saving time and resources. It
works in combination with the Buddi Smart Beacon to communicate data and
events to the Buddi monitoring software Eagle.
Key features of the Secure Band include
- The Secure Band works all the time, straight out of the box
- Communications are encoded with AES 128 for electronic data transmission
- Ergonomic and robust physical properties
- Waterproof, hypoallergenic materials
- Easy to install
- Long battery life
- High yield stainless steel internal band
- Soft outer skin for comfort
Assembly Instructions
To assemble the Secure Band on the user the following parts are required:
- Feed the rubber tab through the strap that has a cut-out at the end as shown below.
Pull the tab of the rubber firmly so that the thick tab part comes out on the other side.
-
Cut the tab off as shown below.
-
Fit the Female Clasp as shown below:
-
Fit the Secure Band around the User’s wrist and then fit the male clasp in the set of 4 holes such that the fit is comfortable but is not too loose.
-
Align the Male and Female Clasps together and then apply equal pressure by squeezing the 2 parts together. Listen for 2 clicks to ensure that both parts are fitted correctly together.
Removal Instructions
-
Fully open the Removal tool and wind back the cutting screw as back as it can go.
-
Place the tool under one side of the clasp on a fitted Secure Band and push under as far as it goes. Press the open jaw down, as below.
-
Wind the handle clockwise as far as it goes, as below.
-
Unwind the cutting right back and remove the Tool. Fit to the other side of the Clasp and repeat the above steps.
-
The Clasp can then be removed with some light physical pressure.
Charging the Secure Band
- Fit a fully charged Secure Band Charger (see Section 5) over the Secure Band.
-
Align the tabs in Charger to the cut-outs in the Secure Band and then click the cover down.
-

-
Check that the green LED stops flashing to indicate that it is fully charged (this could take up to 2 hours)
Charging the Secure Band Charger
- Plug the Secure Band Charger into a 5V USB Charger. Check that the LED is orange to indicate that it is being charged.
- Check that the LED goes green to indicate that the Charger is fully charged (this could take up to 2 hours).
