What is the 76 Fuzz?
While the Western world was preoccupied with its smooth and soulful Fuzz Faces
and Muffs, the Orient was bubbling up with gnarly fuzzes heavily imparted with
Godzilla DNA. This very distinct era in fuzz history gave us many treasures
that have been crowned fuzz legends–the Univox Super Fuzz, Ibanez Standard
Fuzz, Ace Tone Fuzz Master, Shin-Ei Companion and several others.
Our 76 offers up a comprehensive guided tour to the best that the Standard
Fuzz and its ilk has to offer without any of the drawbacks. On its face, the
76 gives you a multi-voiced fuzz unit that offers loads of octave-up snarl and
clang while it ruthlessly pummels your amp with hair and fangs.
Armed with a JFET input and built around a specific set of Toshiba
transistors, the 76’s dual Texture and Color tone controls allow you to
precisely sculpt your fuzz while the octave switch allows you to dial back the
octaves and overtones for a smoother finish. Topped off with silent, soft
touch true bypass switching and top jacks, the 76 is everything you need if
you’re looking for a musical yet powerful fuzz capable of leveling Tokyo!
What does this do?
Level: Allows you to boost or cut your volume level.
Fuzz: Turning the Fuzz up ranges from a little crunch to more gain than
you could ever want.
Texture: This control adjusts the mid frequency of the 76. Go from a deep
scoop to a mid-drenched grind with a simple twist.
Color: This controls a mild Low Pass Filter on the output of the fuzz to
round off some highs and further sculpt the tone. Turn it CCW for darker tones
and CW for brighter ones.
Octave Switch: Toggle this switch down for octaves and overtones or up
for more conventional fuzztones.
True Bypass Switch: Allows you to engage or bypass the effect.
9V DC Input: This pedal uses a negative ground, 9-18VDC power supply with
a 2.1mm barrel plug and negative center. Current draw is less than 10mA.

Warranty Information
All SolidGoldFX products purchased through the solidgoldfx.com website or our
authorized dealers come with a three-year warranty against failure resulting
from defective parts and/or faulty workmanship. Cosmetic flaws or issues
related to wear and tear are not covered.
The warranty applies only to the original owner of the product and is not
transferable. Warranty coverage terminates three years after the owner
receives the product. While a product is under warranty, the product will be
repaired free of charge. The owner of the product will be responsible for both
shipping to and from SolidGoldFX. Warranty coverage will be automatically
cancelled should the product be tampered with, modified, abused, damaged
through misuse, repaired by an unauthorized third party, or damaged through
failure to follow the operating instructions. Use of an improper power supply
will void warranty.
