  2. Hold the thermometer around 1 inch (2-3 cm) from the forehead and press the measure button.
  3. Hold the thermometer still during reading. A beep will indicate that the measurement is complete (unless you are in mute mode).
  4. If the thermometer is not close enough, a flashing arrow icon will appear on screen. Move the thermometer closer until the flashing arrow icon disappears, the LCD display lights up, and a temperature result appears on screen. If thermometer is not repositioned, the arrow icon will flash for 20 seconds before the device automatically turns off.
  5. Once a temperature is taken, the temperature will remain on screen for five (5) seconds before going back to standby mode. Simply press the measure button again to take a new temperature.
  6. To power off the thermometer, wait 60 seconds for the auto shutoff feature to power off the thermometer.

NOTES: Environment changes can affect the accuracy of temperature readings. Before use, allow the thermometer to remain in one location without significant air temperature changes for 30 minutes.
Wait at least 30 seconds between readings to ensure accuracy.
In case of error code, refer to the chart on page 13. Wait at least 30 minutes after strenuous exercise before taking a temperature reading.

Truvitals Non-Touch 2-in-1 Thermometer
Do not wear a hat and make sure there is no hair, sweat, or makeup on your forehead while taking temperature readings.
To avoid human error, take multiple measurements and use the average temperature.
The flashing arrow icon lets the user know that the thermometer is currently not in range of the forehead. The flashing arrow will disappear and the thermometer will take temperatures like normal when within optimal range. If the thermometer is out of range and not repositioned, the auto shutoff will activate after 20 seconds.

Fever Alerts
If a temperature reading is above the normal range, the thermometer will give you a fever alert. A frowning face will light up and the LCD display will turn red to indicate that the temperature is equal to or greater than 100.4 oF (38 oC). A smiling face will light up on the LCD display to indicate that the temperature is less than 100.4 oF (38 oC).vGE-TruVitals-TM3000-Non-

Memory Feature

  1. This thermometer automatically stores the last 9 body temperature measurements.
  2. To view previous readings, press the memory button. The body or surface indicator will light up to indicate the kind of measurement you are viewing.
  3. Press the memory button to scroll to the next stored measurement. While viewing the measurement, a number between 1 and 9 will display in the top-left corner of the screen to indicate which measurement you are viewing.
  4.  Remove the batteries from the thermometer to clear the memory.

NOTE: If the measure button is pressed while in the memory mode, the thermometer will go back to standby mode instead of immediately taking the temperature.

Switching Between Fahrenheit and Celsius
This thermometer can display temperatures in either degrees of Fahrenheit (°F) or degrees of Celsius (°C). To switch the units of temperature for future measurements, press the mode button. A beep will be heard (when not in mute mode) and the desired temperature unit will appear on screen. The new temperature unit will then be applied for temperatures you take in the future.

Mute Feature
To activate mute mode, press and hold the mode button for two (2) seconds. This will silence all alerts from the thermometer. To unmute the thermometer, simply repeat the process. An audio alert will indicate that the thermometer is unmuted.

Make sure to hold the thermometer close to the object you want to measure because in surface mode, the thermometer will always pick up and read
    a temperature.
