Functions
The 70mai rear camera is used as an accessory for 70mai in-car products and needs to be used with a main device.
After the rear camera is installed and connected with the main device correctly, when rear camera recording is enabled, the rear camera can record and store the image from the rear of the vehicle.
Usage
- The 70mai rear camera is powered by the main device. When the main device starts operation, the rear camera will also be turned on automatically. When the main device is turned off or asleep, the rear camera will also be turned off automatically.
- The main device powers the rear camera only when the main device receives power from an external power source. The main device cannot power the rear camera if it is not powered by an external power source.
- The image acquired by the rear camera is stored in the microSD card of the main device automatically. As the storage limit is reached for the microSD card, the earliest front-recorded and rear-recorded images will be overwritten by the latest images and deleted in turn cyclically.
Installation
-
Installing the electrostatic sticker.
Clean your rear windshield and put the electrostatic sticker on the recommended upper area of the windshield, as shown in the figure below. Make sure you remove air bubbles between the sticker and the glass. -
Installing the rear camera.
Peel off the protective film from the adhesive sticker on the base of the mount, and paste the rear camera onto the electrostatic sticker in the dotted area. -
Connecting the power supply.
Connect the rear camera with the rear signal wire (connect ports A and B together). As shown in the figure below, run the wire along the top of the rear windshield, C-pillar, and top of the side windows to the main device. Plug the Mini USB 8PIN power port into the main device(the AV/IN port of the main device). -
Adjusting the dash cam angle.
Turn on the main device and switch to the rear camera recording mode. Adjust the camera angle based on the preview screen to ensure that the camera is facing the back of the vehicle.
