VELLO TC-DB-II Tripod Collar User Manual
Introduction
THANK YOU FOR CHOOSING VELLO
The Vello Tripod Collar is simple to install, mounting directly to the
barrel of the lens.
Once mounted, the collar provides improved balance and less stress on the lens
mount during tripod use.
By slightly loosening the collar, the lens can easily rotate between
horizontal and vertical shooting positions.
Please read the entire manual before using the Tripod Collar
USING THE TRIPOD COLLAR
-
Start with the lens detached from the camera body.
-
Open the Tripod Collar by unscrewing the knob. Some tripod collars require the knob to be unscrewed and pulled out to open or secure the ring.
-
With the foot of the Tripod Collar facing forward, fit the Tripod Collar around the lens barrel.
-
To secure the Tripod Collar, close the ring and screw the knob firmly into place.
-
Attach the lens to the camera body and securely mount on the tripod.
Note: If using a Quick Release Plate, align the plate with the lens barrel so the camera faces forward when mounted to the tripod, and screw it firmly into place.
- To shoot in horizontal orientation, match the line on top of the lens with the one on top of the collar.
- To shoot in vertical orientation, match the line on top of the lens with the line on either side of the collar.
Instructions may vary slightly for di9erent lenses.
