fireye 60-3008 Bezel Adapter Instructions
DESCRIPTION
This adapter allows mounting of the NXD410TS user interface to a cutout that was previously used for the NXD410 user interface. This adapter is required due to the smaller dimensions of the NXD410TS.
CONTENTS
- (2) bezel adapters, steel with black powder finish
- (2) M4x0.7 x 25mm machine screws
- (2) M4 nuts
- (1) industrial double-sided adhesive, ½” x 24”
USAGE

Mark two sides of existing NXD410 lightly with pencil, then remove the NXD410. The pencil marks will help with alignment. See FIGURE 1 below.

Apply the industrial double-sided adhesive to one side of one of the bezel adapters. Keep the strips close to the edge of the bezel adapter. See FIGURE 2 below.

Test fit the NXD410TS into the bezel adapter and note which orientation is correct. The mounting holes are offset from center, so it is possible to mount the bezel adapter upside down.

Clean the mounting surface thoroughly, then remove the backing on the adhesive strips and firmly press the bezel adapter into place, using the pencil marks as guides. Slightly cover the pencil marks to obscure them. See FIGURE 3 below

Thread the M4 nuts all the way onto the M4 machine screws provided. Thread one M4 machine screw into one threaded insert on the NXD410TS and lightly tighten with a screwdriver. See FIGURE 4 below.

Insert the NXD410TS into the bezel adapter, ensuring that the unit is mounted in the proper direction (not upside-down). Slide the second bezel adapter over the back of the NXD410TS and around the M4 machine screw, then finger-tighten the M4 nut to secure. See FIGURE 5 below.

Install the second M4 machine screw into the second threaded insert and finger-tighten the M4 nut. Ensure that the NXD410TS is centered and situated as desired and then tighten both M4 nuts with a wrench until the assembly is secure (do not overtighten).

The existing 59-562-2 cable can be reused for communication. Simply cut the connector off the end and connect as shown in FIGURE 6 below or consult Fireye bulletin NXD-4102.
