PACKAGE CONTENTS
PRODUCT OVERVIEW
- P-trap or S-trap installation
- Adjustable pan height
- Fits 90mm wall cavity with 600mm stud spacing
- Suitable for timber studs only. 90×45 stud cross section
- Suitable for wall hung pans with 180mm or 230mm mounting rod spacing
LIMITATIONS
The maximum number of odourless toilets per stack in a building is given below:
WARNING
The steel frame provided with the cistern will transfer the loads from the
toilet pan through to the attached wall. The wall must be built rigidly so
that flexing is minimised under loading from the toilet. Failure to do so may
lead to catastrophic failure of the wall and/or damaged tiles. The studded
wall must be constructed using 90x45mm timber sections. Expella takes no
responsibility for the construction of the wall.
BEFORE INSTALLATION
- The Milu odourless toilets must be installed by a qualified plumber in accordance with AS/NZS 3500.
- Check the product thoroughly for any missing components or defects prior to installation.
SETOUT
- Determine the finished floor level (FFL) Position waste for either P or S trap as indicated.
- Set the wall studs and nogging as indicated.
IMPORTANT
The position of the waste outlet is off-centred relative to the wall studs.

INSTALLATION
INSTALLATION TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT
- Grease or petroleum jelly
- Hand saw suitable for cutting rigid PVCplastic
- Safety knife
- Metric Allen Key set
- Drill bits 3mm and 8mm
- 16mm and 17mm Socket and Wrench
- 35mm hole saw – for PVC
- Deburring tool
- ½” Spanner
- Level
- Screws, Pan head, 8 Gauge x 30mm forTimber
- Cordless drill
- Impact driver
INSTALLING THE TOILET
Pan Connector
- Apply grease to grommet
- Insert grommet into pan connector
- Fit wave washer onto ontoflex hose with wavey side facing towards grommet
- Connect hose to pan connector ensuring wave washer conforms grommet around curved pan connector
Install Pan Connector into Frame
Optional P-Trap
- Use 35mm hole saw to cut hole. Debur after cutting. Hole position depends on wall thickness. Flexible hose route is the same as S-trap
Install Frame in Wall
Install the top cistern mounting bracket
- Predrill mounting bracket screw holes in studs – 2 x Ø3mm holes each side
Assemble Odour Duct Work
WARNING: WHEN ASSEMBLING DUCTWORK ENSURE O-RINGS ARE LUBRICATED AND PROPERLY SEATED. PINCHED OR INCORRECTLY INSTALLED O-RINGS RESULT IN WATER LEAKS INSIDE THE WALL CAVITY ONCE IN OPERATION.

HARD WIRED ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
Have a qualified electrician install a GPO within 3.5 meters of cable length to the toilet. To activate the Milu odour control device, use either Expella PIR motion sensor or a wall switch. The switch can either be shared with the bathroom light, exhaust fan or by a designated switch. The location of the GPO should allow future access to the 12VDC power transformer that powers the Milu odour control device. PIR sensor supplied separately. Refer to PIR sensor instructions for installation details.

Connect water supply
Sheet (and tile) wall
Prior to sheeting, test flush cistern (catch water in a bucket) and check for
leaks around odour control ducting. Check power to the fan.
WARNING: There must be no gaps between the steel frame, wall sheeting and
tiles. Failure to adhere to this may result in damage sheeting and/or tiles
when the toilet pan is installed.
Cut the flush and waste pipe to length
Use straight edge to mark wall line on flush and waste pipes
Debur cut edges and lubricate prior to installing
Install flush buttons
Install Pan
Refer to pan instruction manual for details.
