TEMPUR Flex Cloud 3000 Tellerrost
Introduction
Thank You
… for choosing a TEMPUR® Bed Base. This product is made to stringent quality
standards. Should you have any complaint despite correct assembly and use,
contact your specialist dealer.
Safety warning
TEMPUR® Bed Bases meet requirements and specifications of DIN EN 1725. As specified the bed base should be used as a foundation in conjunction with a standard mattress. With normal use (lying, sleeping, sitting) a maximum strain of 120 kg over the entire bed surface is possible without any restriction. Under certain conditions, it is possible to expose the bed to a higher strain as long as its intended purpose is taken into consideration. Please note that the manufacturer cannot take any responsibility for incorrect use and capacity overload.
Please note:
-
When adjusting the position of the base, take care that your fingers do not get caught in the mechanism.
-
Make sure that the base fits properly into your bedstead. If not, fix legs (available as optional extras) to the base.
-
To prevent distortion of fittings, the TEMPUR® Bed Base must be placed on an even floor.
-
To prevent damage to parts, make sure that all the fittings are properly slotted into place.
-
Sitting on either the foot end or head end in the raised position can cause strain and damage to parts.
-
Make sure to keep yourself and others clear of the shearing points when adjusting the position of the base. Do not allow children to adjust the position!
Otherwise there is a risk of crushing injury. -
Ensure that nothing hinders or obstructs the adjusting mechanism or motors.
-
Small articles can be swallowed by children, which can lead to injuries as well as danger of life.
Therefore, these articles must be kept away of children.
Mounting the TEMPUR® Bed Base
- When placing the bed base in the bedstead, make sure that it is firmly supported by at least four fastening points.
- If you are going to use the bed base on its own, without a bedstead, make sure that the legs are on an even surface and securely mounted.
- In the case of an adjustable base, remove the cable clips before use. Make absolutely sure that all the clips have been removed before using the base for the first time, as failure to do so could damage the motors or the base itself.
- If the remote control is not used for lengthy periods, remove the batteries to prevent damage from leakage.
- We recommend the installation of optional support legs on oversize bases from 120 cm width.
- The TEMPUR® Bed Base complies with DIN EN 1725 (Beds & Mattresses: Safety Standards & Test Methods) as well as LGA (Bavarian Trade Institute) standards.
Adjusting the position of the bed base
Manually adjustable models are adjusted by pulling the loop upwards. To lower,
pull the adjustable parts up as far as they will go, then slowly lower them
again.
For mechanically adjustable models, press the switch. Take note of the safety
instructions above when adjusting the position of the base.
Individual firmness adjustment
The plates are preinstalled and settings may be adjusted by a simple turning
motion of the inner ring.
Legs
Various sets of legs are available as accessories, enabling you to use the bed bases as freestanding bases without a bedstead. The legs will also provide greater stability when fixed to bases placed in bedsteads. The legs are fixed to the base using predrilled screw holes at each corner of the base. You are advised to mount the legs with the help of another person. You will find it easier if you mount the mattress support after fixing the legs to the base. With extra-large (120 cm and more) and extra-long (210 cm and more) sizes, you have the option of fixing legs to the central strut for greater stability
Mattress support
If you use your TEMPUR® Bed Base as a freestanding base, you will need mattress holders to prevent the mattress from slipping. The mattress holders are not included and sold separately
Dimensions
The wooden spring bases comply with DIN EN 1334 (Methods of Measurement and Recommended Tolerances for Beds and Mattresses) specifications.
Mattress
The TEMPUR® Bed Base is specially designed for use with TEMPUR® mattresses. In this genuinely innovative bed concept, the unique pressure resistant properties of the TEMPUR® materials are aided by the patented, pressure absorbing surface of the base.
Motorized bases
Please follow the instructions on the switch and the more detailed explanation in the instruction manual.
Materials
Polymers
Only fully recyclable thermoplastic and thermoelastic polymers go into making TEMPUR® Bed Bases. All synthetic parts are dyed and paint-free. We do not use softeners or other harmful additives.
Wood
Wooden bases and spring supports are made in beech and protected by a natural wax or covered with paper foil. The laminated wood is made using special, nontoxic carbamide resin. The base and spring supports have up to 8 glued layers depending on the model, are low in formaldehyde in compliance with European standards and have durable elasticity
Care
General
Clean the hinges once a year with a dry cloth. Apply a thin layer of Vaseline or acid-free fat on the racks at least once a year. This will prolong the life of your TEMPUR® Bed Base. Avoid exposing the bed base to direct sunlight for long periods. To clean, use water or any mild cleaning agent. Do not use deep cleaning or scouring agents, alcohol, Cello solve thinner, acetone or any caustic agent. We accept no liability for damage caused by the use of inappropriate cleaning agents.
Motorised models
The best way of avoiding noise caused e.g. by dust particles is to grease joints and using a quality, nontoxic, all purpose oil where possible to relevant parts as and when needed, but at least once a year.
Dismantling Recycling
The composition of each individual part is marked to facilitate sorting for waste disposal, i.e. all parts are fully recyclable.
Special designs available on request.
Subject to technical alterations.

Thank You
You have chosen a pressure relieving low profile bed frame. This product was
manufactured according to our strict quality standards. Should you, despite
proper assembly and use, have any reason for complaint, please contact your
authorized dealer.
Safety Tips
Please note the following items:
- Verify the secure positioning of the bed system within the frame.
- The low profile frame must be placed on a level base to prevent any deformation of the mounting hardware.
- Hardware may suffer damage as a result of excessive weight or force to concentrated areas of the inner slat frame, such as sitting on the raised head or foot sections, for example.
- While adjusting the bed frame, assure that no body parts (including those of third persons) can reach between the moving parts. Prohibit children from operating the bed adjustment feature! Otherwise there is a risk of crushing injury.
- The mechanical parts, as well as the motors, must be able to perform their operations unencumbered and unrestrained.
- During operation, ensure that no third persons (for example children, or even pets) are present in the area of the adjustment mechanisms.
Installation instructions
During assembly of your bed frame it is important to make certain that a minimum of four connection points guarantee secure support.
- All cable ties must be removed from adjustable frames before operation can begin. Prior to initial use please assure diligently that all cable ties have been removed, otherwise damage to the motors or frame may result.
- Please note that the enclosed batteries are to be inserted in the mains adaptor before use. Power supplies without mains cut-off don’t need batteries.
- This product was manufactured according to DIN EN 1725 (Beds and mattresses: Technical safety requirements and testing procedures).
Mattress holder
Mattress holders are necessary to avoid sliding of the mattress. The mattress holders are optionally available.
Motorised Frame
Please abide by the information on the control switch and any additional instructions in the respective operating manuals.
2-motor drive
The motorised frame uses a dual motor drive for continuously variable adjustment. Head and foot section are separately adjustable.
Power mains release
The power release feature of the motor ensures the presence of electricity at the drives only during operation of the remote control unit. This prevents any build-up of a magnetic field.
In addition the power mains release (NFS) provides for a complete net separation between outlet and frame and thus prevents additional electric fields in the bedroom.
Emergency lowering feature
The frame-integrated drive technology ensures high security as cables,
fittings and motors are totally enclosed for minimizing the risk of injury.
The frame is lowered only by its own weight. Therefore only the weight of the
corresponding section of the deck area presses on the stuck body part.
Injuries and bruises are almost excluded.
In case of power failure the frame can be quickly lowered by hand without
tools and batteries.
Operating the handset
The buttons of the handset control the positioning of your bed.
(S1) and (S2) raise and lower the back adjustment motor, (S3) and (S4) raise and lower the leg adjustment motor. (S5) and (S6) move the back and leg adjustment motors simultaneously
Materials
Polymers
We exclusively utilize thermoplastic and thermoelastic polymers that may be completely recycled after their use. Markings on the individual parts enable the proper sorting and recycling of the plastics involved. All plastics are dyed and not painted or lacquered. Softening agents and other damaging additives are not used.
Wood
Wood frames and slats are constructed of laminated wood. The laminating process uses special resins that are physiologically unobjectionable. Frames and slats are, according to style, laminated multiple times, feature low formaldehyde content in accordance with European standards, and assure maximum elasticity over time.
Care instructions
This product must be protected from extended exposure to sunlight. Clean only with pure water or mild soap. Do not use detergents, abrasives, alcohol, acetone, or similarly aggressive cleaners. The warranty for damages caused by using unauthorized cleaners or cleaning methods cannot be honoured.
Recycling
The bed systems are packed disassembled for efficient transportation. In consideration of environmental protection the individual parts, once disassembled, may be recycled. Special designs available on request.
