Introduction

The new AMP series of installation amplifiers combines sound quality, simplicity of use and ease of installation.
Operating at 100V, the AMP660 and AMP1000 amplifiers have been developed to suit all installations.
The AMP660 and AMP1000 are high power amplifiers, so they are dedicated to installations requiring large power sources such as stadiums, amusement parks, …etc.

Presentation

  1. LED level indicators
These LEDs give an indication of the amplifier’s operating level When only the -60dB LED is lit, there is no output signal.

  2. Volume control knob .
This potentiometer adjusts the input signal level from
    -60dB to 0dB.

  3. Power button.
Allows you to turn you device ON/OFF.
The POWER LED is lit when your device is activated.

  4. LED indicators
These LEDs indicate the current status of your device:
    – POWER: Indicates that the amplifier is powered on.
    – CLIP: Indicates that signal levels are too high.
    – PROTECT: Indicates that the protection has been activated because your device of short-circuits or overheating.
    Notes :
-The PROTECT LED usually lights up when turning on your device.
-If the PROTECT LED remains lit, please turn off your amplifier, wait for it to cool down, and check the cables.
-If this LED remains lit upon activation of your device, and the aforementioned steps have already been tried, please ask for a qualified technician.

  5. Power supply input with fuse Connect here the supplied IEC cord then connect it to the mains after making sure the voltages are compatible
    Fuse values

    AMP660| T10 AL / 250V
    AMP1000| T15 AL / 250V

  6. Output terminals
Connect here your speakers or ceiling speakers. The terminals might be used differently depending on the installation. Please refer to next chapter for more details about each type of installation.

  7. Inputs
Connect line level signals to these inputs.
    The jack input is unbalanced.
    The XLR input is balanced.

  8. Outputs
These outputs allow the signal present at the input to be recovered and sent to another amplifier in cascade.
    The jack output is unbalanced.
    The XLR output is balanced.

Using your amplifier

Please use high-quality cables to connect your speakers.
In order to prevent short-circuits, please tin the cables before connecting them to the output terminal.
Please make sure to respect the polarities when connecting your speakers to your amplifier.
Connect the speakers equipped with transformers to COM and 70/100V terminals.
Connect speakers that operate at 8 Ohms to the COM and 4~16Ω terminals.
It is not possible to use the 70V or 100V outputs with the 4~16Ω output at the same time.
The COM terminals are connected to each other and can be used for different outputs.

Using your amplifier
Using your amplifier

8 Ohms speaker or ceiling speakers

Dangerous voltage Speakers must be connected last to the amplifier.
Turn the amplifier on when the installation is over and has been checked thoroughly.

Caution: the minimum impedance of all the speakers must not fall below 4 Ohms

Caution: The sum of all connected speakers must not exceed the maximum power of your amplifier

Special case of the AMP1000 output terminal block
The AMP1000 has a 120V output.
This output is used to supply power to long installations to avoid voltage drops.
However, if your installation is of normal length, it is preferable to use the 100V output.
For information: 20V of voltage drop is equivalent to a cable length of 100m for a 2.5mm² section. It is nevertheless advisable to check the voltage at the terminals of the speakers.
