Product Information

The BM-Check is a prosthesis simulator for loop amplifier testing. It is a compact device that allows people without hearing aids to listen to a hearing loop system as if they were wearing a hearing aid in the T position. It can be used to check the sound source of a magnetic loop, equip a person who is hard of hearing and does not have a hearing aid, or equip a person with hearing loss whose prosthesis does not have a T position. The BM-Check features a headphone, headphone jack, volume control and power button, signal level and power LEDs, and a USB connector for charging the battery. It is made in France and approved by the EN60118-4 standard.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Place the headset on your ears and adjust it for comfortable listening.
  2. Hold the hearing loop tester vertically and at head height to mimic the position of a hearing aid.
  3. Turn the unit on by turning the volume control slightly clockwise until a comfortable listening sound is obtained. Turn the knob in the opposite direction to decrease the volume if necessary.
  4. If the orange LED does not light, check that the internal battery is correctly charged.
  5. When you are finished using the headset, turn the volume knob counterclockwise until the LED turns off.

Important:

  • Always turn off the unit when it is not in use to extend its life.
  • Always hold the hearing loop tester at ear height and upright when listening to a loop system to ensure the best possible performance.

Maintenance

To extend the life of the product, perform the following operations regularly:

  • Clean the unit with a soft, dry cloth or suitable cleaning wipes. Do not use solvent-based cleaners and avoid getting all kinds of liquids into the hearing loop listener.
  • Turn off the headset when not in use. Keep the battery charged.

Troubleshooting

Product presentation

The magnetic loop earpiece is a compact device that allows people without hearing aids to listen to a hearing loop system as if they were wearing a hearing aid in the”T” position.
It can be used for:

Operation

The hearing loop tester works with an internal battery.

  1. Place the headset on your ears and adjust it for comfortable listening.
