Installation

  1. Shut off the cold water supply.
  2. Connect either end of the stainless steel connector to the water supply valve. Do not overtighten.
  3. Connect the other end of the stainless steel connector to the ice maker inlet located on the back of the refrigerator.

IF THE REFRIGERATOR ICE MAKER INLET HAS 1/4″ COPPER TUBE, USE THE 1/4″ BRASS COMPRESSION UNION ENCLOSED:

  1. Take the nut and sleeve from the end of the compression union and place the nut, then the sleeve, on the tube from the refrigerator.
  2. Place the tubing squarely into the body of the compression union, slide the sleeve and nut into position on the threads, and tighten. Do not overtighten.
  3. Remove the nut and sleeve from the other end of the compression union and discard.
  4. Connect the end of the stainless steel connector to the other end of the brass union. Do not overtighten.
    Installation

INSTRUCTIONS FOR CONNECTING STAINLESS STEEL WATERLINE TO ICE MAKER INLET WITH 90° WATER SUPPLY ADAPTER

  1. Remove brass nut, compression nuts and ferrules from ice maker water supply adapter and compression union.
  2. Apply several turns (clockwise) of thread seal tape to left end of union.
  3. Install taped end of union ice maker water supply adapter and tighten.
  4. Install stainless steel waterline to other end of union and tighten.
  5. Attach ice maker water supply adapter to ice maker inlet valve and tighten.
  6. Attach stainless steel waterline to water supply valve and tighten.
  7. Turn on water supply and check for leaks: If leaks occur, tighten connection and recheck for leaks. Do not overtighten.
    Installation

IF THE REFRIGERATOR ICE MAKER INLET HAS A 1/4″ COMPRESSION FITTING, CONNECT THE END OF THE STAINLESS STEEL CONNECTOR DIRECTLY TO THE REFRIGERATOR FITTING:

  1. Coil the excess connector length to allow the refrigerator to be pulled away from the wall for cleaning. IMPORTANT: Do not kink the connector. Do not overtighten.
  2. Connect the end of the stainless steel connector to the water supply valve. Do not overtighten.
  3. Turn on the cold water supply.
  4. Carefully inspect for leaks at all connections.
  5. Tighten connections if any leaks are found. Do not overtighten.
