Important Remote Station Mounting and Location Notes
- Ambient Conditions:
- Maximum Ambient Temperature: 104°F/40° C
- Minimum Ambient Temperature: 32°F/0°C
- Relative Humidity: 10-90% Non condensing
Rough In Mounting and Wiring Instructions
- Install a 2” wide single gang masonry box (RACO #690, Steel City #GW125C) or square corner ring (RACO #782) at the desired location. Remote station frame must be mounted to a grounded back box, or a separate ground conductor must be added. For cut-in locations do not use “F clips”, use 2” wide box equal to Caddy MPLS to avoid the circuit board shorting to box. See Figure 2.
- Connect this remote to a single Sequel Series Control Station (SQCS, SQMPCS, SQIDC) or a single Remote Station Interface (SQRSI, SQMPRSI) with (3) Class 2 #18 AWG conductors. Add a spare conductor to this run if total length exceeds 250 feet (80m).
- Remotes which have the same function can be wired in a daisy chain, or may be home run separately and connected under the same terminal at the control station or interface. See Figure 3.
- Refer to Figure 1 (below left) for typical one line wiring details, and to figures 3 – 5 for Synergy typical interconnection wiring details. Refer to “As Built” drawings for project specific wiring details.
One Line Wiring Symbols
Quantity of Class 2 low voltage individual #18 AWG wires as indicated in the symbol. If multiconductor cable is desired, use Belden 83653, 83662 shielded, low capacitance, (not twisted) control cable or equal. A spare conductor is shown in each run to the left for applications with a total wire length of greater than 250 feet (80m).
