SABRE Module

SA220 SABRE Module

  1. The SABRE Module offers a quick Bluetooth mobile access upgrade for legacy readers with a Hirose connector.*
    Remove the mounting screw at the bottom of the reader.

  2. Once the screw is removed pull the reader out and up to remove it from the wall mount bracket.

  3. The Hirose connector is hidden behind black electrical tape. By peeling the tape the connector will become accessible.

  4. The SABRE module has a matching Hirose connector that will plug into the host reader.

  5. Position the SABRE module (with logo up), onto the Hirose connector and press firmly to make a connection.

  6. Once a connection is made between the Hirose connectors, the module will start to receive power and within seconds will be operational.

  7. With the SABRE module connected, re-mount the reader onto the wall and reinsert the mounting screw.

  8. Open the Safetrust Wallet APP and select Manage Sensor tab. Make sure your system admin has set you up with this role.

  9. With the Manage Sensor tab open from the App, bring the phone in range of the SABRE Module and once visible from the App, highlight and select “Configure”.

  10. Select the corresponding IDENTITY SYSTEM from the drop down box. Assign a short “Name” and “Description” using alphanumeric characters. Enable the slider for “Self Enrollment” if you intend to allow your users to enroll mobile credential using their existing legacy cards from this reader. Click ‘Save’ to successfully complete
    reader configuration.

  11. When the SABRE Module information is successfully saved to the Credential Manager, and assigned to the Identity System, the new description will appear in the  anage Sensor with a unique serial number assigned.

  12. To open the door, simply present your mobile device running the Safetrust Wallet application to the SABRE Module. When the phone is within the configured activation range, the LED within the assigned credential for this identity system will be green in color. If “Auto Authenticate” is enabled, the credential will be sent to the SABRE Module whenever the mobile device is within range.

  13. The two main configuration options for this are the “Sensitivity Level to Activate” slider, which determines how easily your mobile device with pick up the activation zone, and the “Anti  Passback” setting, which defines the within the activation zone.
