IMPORTANT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
General safety instructions
WARNING
- Ensure you have fully read and understood the instructions in this user manual before you install or use the appliance. Keep this document for future reference.
Safety instructions regarding installation
WARNING
- Do not drop the appliance and avoid bumping.
- Place the appliance on a stable, flat, heat and moisture resistant surface.
- Do not use a timer or a separate remote-control system that switches on the device automatically.
- Prevent the appliance from being pulled down. Do not leave the power cable hanging over table edges.
- Make sure that neither the appliance nor the power cord or plug comes into contact with hot surfaces, such as hotplates or a radiator, or that they come into contact with the appliance itself.
- Before using the appliance, check that the voltage stated on the type plate of your appliance matches your mains voltage.
Do not operate the appliance with a multiway plug adapter.
Safety instructions regarding use
WARNING
- Children must be supervised to ensure that they not play with the appliance.
- Do not touch the grill plate when in use. The surface gets hot.
- Do not use the appliance when it is damaged. Switch off and disconnect the appliance from the power source to avoid the possibility of an electric shock.
- Do not touch the fondue pot when in use. The pot and the handles get hot during use. Touching it can cause burns.
- If the appliance would cause fire, only use fire blankets to extinguish the fire. Never use water to extinguish the fire. Using water could result in flares and short circuit.
- Do not use a sharp object to remove residue on the pans or griddle. This could damage the non-stick coating.
- Only use the appliance with the provided accessories or accessories recommended by Solis. Incorrect accessories or misuse can lead to damage to the appliance.
- Do not place spatulas or pans on the griddle. This could damage the spatulas or pans.
- Do not leave empty pans in the heating area. This could damage the pans. Place empty pans in the cooling area.
- Do not heat the fondue pot when it is empty. When not used, remove the pot from the appliance or fill it with water (max. 1 liter).
WARNING
- Do not use the appliance if it is damaged or defective. Replace a damaged or defective appliance immediately
- If the power cable is damaged, replace it with an original special cable or assembly available from the manufacturer or its service agent.
- Switch off and disconnect the appliance from the power source before cleaning.
- Let the appliance cool down before cleaning.
- Never immerse the appliance in water or place it in a dishwasher. Only the griddle and the Fondue pot can be cleaned in a dishwasher.
- Do not use abrasive chemical cleaning agents such as ammonia, acid or acetone when cleaning the appliance. This can damage the appliance.

BEFORE FIRST USE
-
Rinse the following parts with hot water:
– Fondue pot 1
– Griddle 2
– Upper side of the base plate 5
– Spatulas 8
– Pans 7
– Fondue forks 6 -
Install the appliance according to chapter Installation.

Fill the fondue pot with water (max. 1 liter).
When using the appliance for the first time, smoke can occur. This is normal, due to burnt manufacturing residue. -
Let the appliance heat up for 10 minutes.

Switch off and disconnect the appliance from the power source.
-
Let the appliance cool down.
INSTALLATION
-
Place the base plate 5 on a stable, flat, heat and moisture resistant surface.
-
Place the grill 4 on the baseplate 5.
-
Place the griddle 2 on the grill 4.
When preparing for use with the griddle 2: -
Lightly grease the griddle 2.
When preparing for use with pans 7: -
Place the pans 7 on the baseplate / cooling area 5.
When preparing for use with the fondue pot 1: -
Fill the fondue pot 1 with a maximum of 1 liter.

Place the fondue pot 1 into the grill4 (image D).

Place the fondue forks 6 into the fondue pot 1.
To switch on the appliance: -
Make sure both temperature controls q r are turned to 0.

Plug the power cable 9 into the power port w.
-
Plug the other end of the power cable 9 into a power outlet.
-
Switch the power switch e to I to switch on the appliance.
-
When preparing for use with the griddle 2 or the pans 7, set the griddle temperature control to the maximum position.

When preparing for use with the fondue pot 1, set the fondue pot temperature control r to the maximum position.
-
Let the appliance heat up for 10 minutes.

Set the temperature controls q r to the desired temperature.
CLEANING AND CARE
-
Switch off and disconnect the appliance from the power source.
-
Let the appliance cool down.
-
Fully disassemble the appliance.
-
Empty the fondue pot 1.
-
Clean the grill 4 with a slightly damp cloth.
-
Rinse the following parts with hot water:
– Fondue pot 1
– Griddle 2
– Top side of the base plate 5
– Spatulas 8
– Pans 7
– Fondue forks 6 -
Store the appliance in the original packaging in a dry and enclosed space.
